Thanks for highlighting that, will help people just looking for it!
Very informative ,I have same engine A17 DTS and about same mileage as yours .
#enginebros👊🏾😁 they're the ones with the max output in the 1.7 range
@@noorshah96 yes i have been told same ,where you based in ? waterford? ,I had early oil service done yesterday due to short journeys ,DPF is really a big turn of point ,regeneration every 4 days these days,i saw you did remap delete egr and DPF , How is it going so far .
Only seen this comment now lad, I'm actually based in Kerry. It is going v good so far, no more regens etc. Better torque and fuel economy overall. I yet to have put it through nct, fingers crossed, been told It should pass. Would recommend the doing the whole lot as to just a power map.
@@noorshah96 great i am in waterford , i think remap if done properly the car runs cleaner so emissions shouldn't be a problem ,Inshallah i am also planning to do if cost is reasonable .cheers bro.
It'll be good In Sha Allah, Best of luck bro👊🏾 Give me a shout if you're calling down 🙂
vry good job plz urself and be confident
I research to know which oil to put what is the difference between the one you put which is 5000 for one of 3000
I used 5000DM (PETRONAS). But there are 2 main things to check no matter the brand. Viscosity (5W30 with Standard C3) and Dexos 2 Rating. Hope this helps.
the 3000 Dm or 5000dm doesn't matter then?
You mean 3000FR, I don't think that's suitable as it's not C3 and doesn't have Dexos 2 GM standard either. From the PETRONAS syntium line, it's 5000dm or 5000xs that'll suit. Also will depend on the temperatures in your area
thank you very much
is 5 ltr of oil ok or must be 5.5.ltr? i have dtc 1.7 astra j
5 possibly can work but I would say don't risk it too long. 5.4 is what it needs. Your particular engine could still be different depending on the year etc.
I agree your going to want the the full amount, it is annoying buying that extra litre , but alot cheaper than replacing an engine due to low oil engine wear
Well said. I usually buy 2x 5 litres so you almost always have the extra bit needed the next time, works out cheaper
How did you take of the under cover?
There are couple of 10mm hex screws (could be slightly different for you) on each side, undo them and I just leave it hanging most of the time and work away. Too hard to take it off completely 😃 but should be enough to work.
@@noorshah96 why is it so hard to remove it completely? I changed the oil on this car recently and I just left the cover to hang down also I couldn't get it off completely, why is this
It's not impossible to take off I think but it's easier not too. ..Just the way it's designed I guess is the reason 😁
OK
👊🏼
why change on 59%?
It was definitely an early service, few reasons, I wanted to change the cabin&fuel filter so thought will do all together while I was at it, was going to get it remapped too, and the weather was going to get cold too so just thought get it out of the way.
Also I don't put too much mileage but the miles I put are tough miles😜so it's good to keep in top of service
vauxhal / opel recommends oil change every 30.000 km, which is a completly stupid idea, so I guess when the meter shows 59% he drove already like 10.000 km, which is close to the proper oil change period
Never thought of this before actually, will be doing it more often now 😂
Oil percentage is not for oil intervals it just indicator how many diesel is on oil due to DPFs regen attempts.
