    We have been in the mobile home business for years, and thought why not upload videos about something we can relate to and deal with every day.
    We have seen the mobile home business come such a long way. In the old days most people referred to mobile homes as a trailer house. However some of the manufactured homes we carry are far from “trailer houses.”

    This has to have one of the best floor plans I have ever seen in a singlewide home, I would change the floor and countertop choices and it would be a perfect pallet to decorate anyway you wanted.

    LOVE that there is an island in a single wide!
    My grandma and great grandma lived in a single wide back in the late 70s, early 80's. Today's homes have come a long ways.
    I actually like the kitchen door more than the other one, for the main entry. It's just my husband now so i would make the dining area into a computer nook and we'd just eat at the island.
    I like the laundry room, that is is an actual room, not a notch in the hallway.
    Nice little house. (I say "little" but that single wide has more square footage than my house.)
    Thanks, Chance!

    TV stand too close to the foyer. Water heater access in the bedroom closet is a no no. Nice master closet. Great layout of the master bath for a single wide. I would get rid of the extra sink so I could have a linen closet. This would be a great home for a single person like me.

    Not too bad ... Very no frills. Functional but no wow factor, however, given the price i think it's s great option. Personally i need a bigger kitchen, but this would be a great starter home. There are so many things you can do aesthetically enhance this place. This is a great opportunity for young people starting out to own a home that they otherwise couldn't afford.

    I like. Would need an on-demand hot water heater to fill that tub though I like that you can come right in the front door to the bathroom so kids are running in and out using the bathroom while not running through the whole house. Don’t like the two doors in the front. You need a door in the back so you can have a parking pad or covered parking area in the back. You wouldn’t want it in the front because it’ll cover up some of the windows. In my opinion.

    $100k for 1200sqft if anchored to the ground is much batter than almost a quarter million for the house alone in many of the populated areas, I love the layout, it has everything you need except a back door, other than that, if I had to go for something in a pinch I would go for it because a pickup truck seems to be as much as this nowadays, lol.

    Where is the picture of the front of the island (opposite of the sink). Without seeing it, all I count is three drawers way over by the other side of the stove, so not close by if you want a dish cloth to wipe down the island and around the sink, etc. I assume that putting in cabinets without drawers is cheaper but it is a foolish waste of trying to save money. Each of the those bottom cabinets should have a drawer above and a shelf inside (I have seen homes like this with the bottom cabinets not having a shelf which cuts down kitchen storage by at least a third). At least for people that cook. With the way even fast food is getting so expensive people are going to be getting back to cooking and a good kitchen makes that a real necessity. Not much storage here. You showed a single wide the other day that was terrific and I loved, but this one just doesn't make me feel that way. The dining area has lower cabinets and would look great with cabinets with drawers as well as upper cabinets with glass frontsn and maybe a section of shelves to show off your pretty dishes and nick nacks. Such a simple thing to really add pizazz to the dining/kitchen area.

    I like the floor plan. But I would eliminate the dining area. Most people eat on tv trays or at a kitchen island. If you eliminate the dining area you could have a longer kitchen and living area. This one has a few nice details. the window frames are lined with wood. So if you do have a leak it is less likely to run down the wall and rot out your sheetrock. It has a thick wall so it might have a good r value. The tray ceiling and the crown molding are nice. The master bathtub is awesome. I would prefer a tile shower.

    You didn’t show the front of the island. The kitchen needs more drawers. Drop the door at the kitchen and put in a patio door in the dining area. Drawers in the dining credenza and matching overhead cabinets for dishes and glasses. I still insist on medicine cabinets in my bathrooms. Otherwise doable.

    • @gailrodgers3079
      @gailrodgers3079 Před 6 měsíci +2

      We think the same way. I am always counting the drawers in the kitchen. For me having two sinks in the master bath takes away from the potential of a floor to ceiling cabinet for linens, etc. I am always looking for storage.

      @roberthopkins2494 Před 6 měsíci

      The door by the kitchen is needed as per code. 2 enterinces and exits are needed for all homes built in the US. Tiny homes ( less then 400 square feet)are excluded because they are considered to be towable recreational vehicles.

    • @johnmanthey6034
      @johnmanthey6034 Před 6 měsíci

      @@roberthopkins2494 I am familiar with the need. I have lived in manufactured homes and also repoed them for what was Green Tree Finance in 8 states. I said eliminate the kitchen door and replace it with a sliding patio door in the dining room. You have the two doors required by code. I had that in my last mobile home that I lived in for 17 years. Then I had a nice big deck for grills and furniture.

      @@avaphoenix317 ????? This is only a discussion. Nobody is wound up and needs to calm down. I think/hope that someone that designs these homes would see our comments and incorporate some of the ideas. Or it would help buyers have some ideas of things they want changed. I remember one home that the vanity in the bathroom had a maybe 4" gap between it and the wall. It would make for a difficult cleaning situation. That is the sort of thing that needs brought up for better and more efficient designs.
