You should look up this CZcams video I found when I had terrible sinus headaches and swelling during a bad cold (probably nothing compared to what you have suffered but it was too much for me), called the bullletproof sinus cleanse. It’s a bit of a weird technique but it gave me relief. You should also visit a naturopath as they may be able to help with diet and supplement recommendations to alleviate symptoms. This is normal. You typically breath out of one nostril at a time. One feels clear and the other a little stuffy. It’s called the nasal cycle. Look it up. Most people never realize this is a normal part of breathing. Except of course for the mouth breathers of the world ! 🤮
I yawn every single time I do this. I feel something in the back of my throat, as soon as I apply pressure, but as soon as I move my hand back, I feel the yawn coming. It’s pretty darn nifty.
