Because suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks.. if he loved me, he'd be here. If he cared for me, he'd show it. If he missed me, he'd tell me. He wouldn't just drag me along on a piece of string, and Everytime I get weak toss me around and shake me up until I'm no longer questioning his tactics. But it unfortunately took me YEARS to REALIZE that I'd been with a complete NARCISSIST and that HIS LOVE for ME was NOT UNCONDITIONAL and it SHOULD have been.....otherwise, what's the point of even getting MARRIED or HAVING BABIES or ANYTHING ELSE for that matter. Narcissism is NOT A JOKE and a TRUE NARCISSIST unfortunately CANNOT and WILL NOT CHANGE....because in THEIR MIND....they don't have to....it's EVERYONE ELSE who has the PROBLEM....it's NEVER THEIR FAULT.....and even IF IT IS....they will NEVER ADMIT to it. They are also INCAPABLE of TRULY "FEELING" any sort of REAL EMOTIONS or EMPATHY or SYMPATHY for ANYONE!!!!! Because suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks.. if he loved me, he'd be here. If he cared for me, he'd show it. If he missed me, he'd tell me. He wouldn't just drag me along on a piece of string, and Everytime I get weak toss me around and shake me up until I'm no longer questioning his tactics. Because if I want him at all, I have to be okay with how things have turned out, I have to be happy for him and let him move on without saying a word on how it hurts me inside. How it kills me knowing what's going on and not having the strength to do a thing about it. It really hit me that if he, if he loved me, even with a tiny part of his heart, he wouldn't keep me in the state of mind, wondering where I satnd in his heart, in his life. He wouldn't.. wouldn't kiss me like I was the only girl he has eyes for.. he wouldnt text me every day just asking what's up? To keep me around.. to keep him on my mind.
But neither should I, you know. I shouldn't text him either, and I guess we are both to blame here. Only I admit my faults, and I never claimed to be perfect or act like I'd moved on. I've been upfront and honest with how I feel from the very beginning and consistently throughout the time I've known him.
But I guess none of it really matters now, except the fact that I'm up at 2:53 on a work night, thinking of him, looking through his social media trying to piece together things I can't even begin to understand, and then getting sick seeing the names in his likes, seeing the things on his pages.
It infuriates my heart, it makes me wish terrible things to stop feeling this way. Makes me want to do unspeakable things to take away the hurt I'm feeling constantly. And at what cost? What do I gain? What do I lose? What's a girl have to do?
I don't feel like the desire will ever subside, only decrease. Unfortunately not rapidly. But decrease nonetheless. And It brings me comfort knowing that some day it won't hurt like this, but it also makes me wonder , when? how long? And how long can I actually hang on and not crack under the pressure?
It's weighing down on me, you know. And I can't seem to stop it.. it's driving me insane.. and I can't let it go.
