Fading Steps
- Set in guideline with trimmer
- Lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 1.5 & 2 guard blend up
- Clipper over comb if needed
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard 3qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
- Open lever half way, continue blending
- Continue blending with lever open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Use electric shaver
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

Let me ask you when starting a fade to do your first guideline which is better to use the trimmer or the clipper fully closed?
We’ve used both bro and we honestly alternate back and forth when we get bored of one way but we recommend you try both ways and see which feels best for you
