      As someone with miles exact problem: alarms don’t work. I have reminders for every day on my phone and I see them and then immediately forget about all of them as soon as the banner goes away. It’s literally what miles describes, either you have the cap that tells you or you have to sit there and go through what you just did and figure it out - or you’ll know once you start trying to drive or work.

    What you do when someone has a stroke, and I know this because I was just tested over this, is you clear all items away from them so the victim doesn't hurt themselves. You have someone call 911 and you stay with them and keep them comfortable and monitor their condition until EMS arrives.

    • @SgtScorpious

    • @Arlothed1no
      @Arlothed1no Před 5 lety +1

      Well, you do that for every emergency medical situation. But, this is key, you HAVE to check for bracelets because if they have seizures often, don't call 911 unless they have another seizure without regaining consciousness or they stop breathing or they hit their head. If you call 911 and it's just because of epilepsy and they don't need an ambulance, they are on the hook for paying for it. And you need to always turn them on their side to avoid aspirating vomit.

    I can relate to Mile's Story...
    I work at a Grocery Store, and one of the things I get often are Customers asking me where "X" is at Or if we have any "Y"; etc. Whenever I'm not sure, I would go in the back to check or ask a Manager. Problem is: I walk back to them, and Have Next to NO Memory of what they look like. I also have other moments more simular to Mile's story, but that's probably the most reoccurring

      @dDeckon Před 7 lety +1

      I have a weird memory. Half the time I remember the things I "Don't" want to remember, and the other half I forget the Things I "Do". With what I was saying, If they walk away/Not stand there when I get back, I literately have to run around the store looking at ever customer and ask myself: _Were they Male or Female?_ ; _Did they have a weird Shirt/Hairdo/Etc?_ ; _Do they React when I say "Hello" to them?_ Kind-of a Problem

    • @hanakoisbestgirl4752
      @hanakoisbestgirl4752 Před 5 lety +1

      I used to work at McDonald's and had the same problem... sort of. I'd have to go to the back to get something to stock, I'd go back to dry stock look at the shelves and say to myself "now why did I come back here to get" apparently it was fairly common among the employees for that to happen so they joked around saying towards the back there was a forecfield that made you forget why you went back yhere.

    The thing about the pill situation, just take the pills the moment you get out of bed. It's just a matter of getting it into a routine. First thing I do is get dressed, and I have my keys, wallet and phone all in my room while my shoes and pills are downstairs. First thing I always do when I leave my room is take my medication. Just today I forgot about it and was about to get on a main road when I had the feeling I didn't take me medication, which was true because I first put on my shoes and left. I drove back home and took the medicine.

      @rowanmcgovern1343 Před 6 lety +4

      acegirlinastraightworld this is late but people don't choke on their tongues when having seizures. What you should do is nothing, unless the person has no history of seizures. In that case call 911. If they're epileptic they usually have a friend or someone who knows what to do, or they can handle themselves afaik
