I spent my high school days working at a candy counter and the amount of times I had to clean the glass was absurd

Having worked once at a place that sold breakfast food, it always frustrated me when I had to clean adult-sized, maple syrup handprints off the glass of the front door.
Like, you are grown-ass human beings, how do you not know this isn't something you should be doing?
I work at a deli, and I just hate it whenever people ask for us to cut Roast Beef, because then we have to spend the next 5-10 minutes cleaning the meat slicer before we can serve another costumer... Ugh...
At Starbucks, don't know how you fuckers make so many handprints but ya do. There's no reason to touch our glass protecting our food from u idiots and no reason not to use the door handle...

don't know where people still have a break glass system on the fire alarms. Every Place I gone to has the Plastic Cover over a alarm, that you have to life up.
Okay, next time you find your self next to a "Incase Of Fire, Break Glass" sign, look around for the closest hammer and report back to me because last time I checked, most places don't have random hammers lying around.

I didn't even work there, I was just in line behind him. Had to tell him twice.

Im a jewellery consultant for a department store and i could not agree more with the glass thing. Ive got too much shit to deal with already that i dont want to walk around to the other side and clean the nose and finger streaks left by snot nose, grubby hand kids on the front of my cases! Every friggen hour!

At 00:56 if you look at the guy walking in the animation. You can see he is wearing a Stark Family emblem T-shirt from Game of Thrones and Burnie said they went there during Halo 3 release which was back in 2007, 4 years before Game of Thrones started airing.
So i decided to check out when the GoT books was released and that was in the late 90's so that guy was ahead of his time, wonder how excited he was for the show to start.

Man I’m with Burnie too. I work at a cafe but it has a dome to it so it’s hard to see with light reflecting it, and every single customer likes to put their grubby mits on the glass instead of reading the label. And then sometimes I can’t see what their pointing so I get “the one I’m pointing at, this one. No not that one this one” 😤😤😤

Before I get any crap for it, I am a janitor, and it really doesn't bother me unless I just cleaned the area. The only things that I don't care about getting messed up again right after I clean are the floor and trash bins.

Beau That is not what I said. I said that if the glass doesn't get dirty, then those whose job it is to clean it can't do it. If you have a job cleaning, you are supposed to be cleaning. If there is nothing to clean, then there is no job.

Read all of what I had said. It is a janitor's job to clean windows, floors, etc. Not touching the glass takes part of that job away from the janitor's responsibilities. Also, there are glass cleaners out there. Some are called window washers. Others are employees of a particular place that are told that if they aren't busy doing what they are supposed to, then they are to be cleaning.
I tried saying something as a joke and you are getting defensive. My point is that nobody is going to lose jobs if people don"t touch glass, I stand by that. I don't know what we are even talking about at this point. Let it go.

I work at a Chipotle. PLEASE. Don't reach over the glass because if our manager sees this happening and we don't immediately tell you to stop, we get written up for allowing a "hygiene hazard".
Also don't let your kids rub their greasy fucking faces against the glass, bc Gus is right. Cleaning that thing is someone's job, and it's super fucking annoying.
