This interview really hit a sweet spot for me. This young man represents what many young people aspire to or what parents hope for in terms of professional success in the USA. Even with that career success, he still experienced financial pressure and environmental distress... and the fact that he resolved to make an affirmative and transformation shift overseas is impressive. Good for him and I hope he finds happiness and success.

I also like this episode. Easy going,sincere conversation with a very likable guys. True story. The life in those big cities,often empty feeling emotionally. I think he was naturally missing some warmness. Easiness,etc. We can all see how crazy life is going. Dude with a great job and all,rent jumping from 2k to 3.7k?!? Totally unacceptable and insane. Plus the other stuff around. I think he made a good decision for himself. And it's great that you connect. Since you both are guys,it's not a big deal to ask you about your age, I guess? As we know, affordability in the west is becoming impossible. The scary part is a flood of Westerners are catching on to move to Thailand and south East Asia... I believe there will be much tighter Visa restrictions around the corner for Westerners to slow the influx down very soon.

There's a serious affordability crisis in America and there's a mass exodus from the country. At the same time, millions of refugees are flocking to the US. Many expats fed up with the situation are coming over to places like Thailand for a brighter future. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out... Still confident I'm in the right place at the right time.
