the 1st episode was so good. It managed to show how screwed up each charactor is and each in their own special way.
I totally agree -- loved the first ep! We really got a good impression of the characters.
@@ZavieM I found the show around season 5 and watched the whole thing in like 6 days. At the end I didn't think we would ever see Mickey again. Is it still on netflicks? If it is I need to pay a month to see the final 6 seasons.

that last scene always makes me cry, no matter how much i hate frank lol. the parallels are amazing. just wish emmy came back, but she was pregnant, so it’s understandable.

When Liam looks at the barstool Frank always sat in it made me so sad especially bc in the last couple episodes when selling the house was up in the air Liam was worried he would be left alone and have no parental figure 😢

fun fact the docter that took care of frank in the last episode is the actors daughter and that just makes there scene together so much more wholesome

One of William H Macy’s parents died of Dementia. So him and his daughter both being there made the scene even more heavy and meaningful. William actually almost said no bc it was to heavy for him to do, but he ended agreeing to finish the show off like that.

F*cking loved Shameless and I definitely had a hate/love relationship with Frank but cried for him when he hit the bucket, didn't think it would actually happened. We seen this man almost died several times 😂😂 didn't think the last time would be for real. But love this show and I'm just happy that Mickey and Ian where together at the end. Love these boys.
Fiona not being mentioned just hurts. But due to covid she couldn’t get back for the final episode, I honestly would have loved to see them just wait until she could.
Ah man, that's a shame. Her return would have been really nice.
@@ZavieM apart of me is really hoping for a movie in a couple of years. Say when Liam hits 18? It would and could be used to tie everything up and just show us how the family is doing. Heck it could just be a standalone episode and not a movie just as long as we get full closure you know? Emmy, Fiona’s actress, included.

Lip took care of them just as much as Fiona did especially when Fiona was having her wild times. He stepped up when she was down. If they weren’t relaying on Fiona they relied on lip. He was like a dad

dont even say lip and fiona contributed the same amount, not saying Lip didnt help but Fiona did everything and more WITH lip as additional help. also, what "wild times" are you referrring to? are you talking about the times where fiona was clearly in a bad place and none of her siblings stayed by her side but isolated themselves from her?
Obviously she would have contributed more as lip was younger but once he was old enough the show clearly shows that everyone pitches in, it wasn’t a one man show. She didn’t do everything they make that very clear, just as much doesn’t mean the exact same amount. I’m sorry when she went to jail that wasn’t being in a bad place because she brought that on herself. And lip was there for her he started off passive aggressive but was there for her in the end even when she was drinking he was the one bringing her back to reality telling V not to enable her. They were there for her even Carl and Debbie wanted lip to take them to Fiona when she was in jail. Contribution isn’t always financial too He did a lot of other things around.

Season 1 to 4 were really good. When Season 4 was new I was like “Wow! This season is getting an A!”
Season 4 is my favourite! It's soooo good.
@@ZavieM Yes! It's dark and I fell in love with Lip in this season because he cares so much about his family, tried to study hard in college, and Mickey and Ian had their best Season 4 moments. I like how Kevin was over protecting his wife Veronica too along with their babies after seeing a bus accident on TV.
@@FlashEarth89 I miss it being as dark and series as it was in season 4 aswell. As much as I love season 5 & 6 for Carl and Ian's development, but the later seasons after 4 didn't manage to keep the dark and realistic nature as it which made it so good
It's always so wild to hear them call Frank "dad" in the pilot.

This is my comfort show I'm from the south side of chicago so hearing familiar street names and at some times relating to the absolute mind fuck of a life that it is up here was just comforting. Ofc some things are...dramatized but I for sure think most of the aspects and dangers that come with the south side where perfectly encapsulated. I honestly related to Fiona a bit too much to not be obsessed. I knew my own frank he was honestly horrible but he had his moments. All the actors rlly encapsulated the "white trash" family astetic that you always see in chicago to a T 😭 honestly I re watch it every time im bored.

The smartest thing I've ever seen a show do after announcing a main character (Fiona) departure season 9 was the way Showtime started getting Gallavich trending so it looked like Mickey's actor had somehow hacked it. Probably the most brilliant way to hook an exhausted, burned out fandom by giving them the one thing guaranteed to keep them watching after being burned so badly by Fiona's last season and arc.
the pilot was insane. it captured me so quickly i knew i had to watch the rest of the show
This show was the best idc what episodes sucked and all I loved every single one of them I basically watched them all grow up

I laughed at Lip's introduction. How is he going places when he's running from the cops? Ian also made me laugh because he is set up to be Lip's opposite, the "Good" child, but what Frank says sounds like he doesn't belong to him, very suspicious. Later We meet Frank's twin brother, and its like watching if the Corsican Brothers were American twins and not French twins.
I still stand by the fact that the episode should have ending with Fiona bursting into the alibi saying "Frank's dead" and then it ends
This show is so good and will always hold a special place in my heart. The parallels between the beginning scene and the final scene are absolutely beautiful.
the song they sang in the last scene is the background music for the intro in the pilot its meant to be like a parallel from start to end. like it swings back to when/how they first started

The drama in this show looks very juicy lol, I’m intrigued to actually watch it now but at the same time you broke al the scenes down very thoroughly 😂👏

i finished shameless like a week ago (watched it all in a month) and all the memories came back flooding in i almost started crying i didn't even remember the that's the way we get by song from the beginning but i remembered them singing it in the end and i almost started sobbing on the spot 😭😭 miss this show already i'm definitely gonna have to rewatch it when i'm older edit: OH MY GOD SEEING THE END SCENE THIS CLOSE TO THE BEGINNING SCENE WAS LITERALLY EVERYTHING-

One of the things I noticed was Fiona just having little mini breakdowns. It's like you could hear her tell herself "5 seconds, then we are done."

I got sucked into the show up until it got too political. I think I stopped watching right when Debbie (who I loathed) got arrested for statutory rape.
aaaaah i get it now. a car on fire and the same song that was in the first and last episode. i love that correlation. Shameless will forever be the best show i have ever seen. loved the reaction too. this guy is funny
we just finished binge watching the whole series and the ending had us sorta confused, until I watched this video was like aaahhhhh now i get it! hahaha
I actually cried when Frank had the flash backs from Season One like it was so sad

when i first watched shameless and saw “the scene” in the first episode i was genuinely shocked. I dont really pay attention to the descriptions of movies so i did not expect what happened, to happen.

It's a British show based on a real council estate which is similar to the projects. I grew up on one and have known these character and my family are the same. If you liked the show watch the original British version as its working class Britain and banter to a T and shows how infilltered we are.
yes i feel like people think this shameless was first although it is more popular and gave ppl gallavich and stuff
I love both shows but I prefer the original, there was something about it that was never "translated" into the American version; it felt more "raw" and "realistic", and also it's like you could really feel yourself what the characters were experiencing. Not criticizing the American version cuz again I love both, but maybe I prefer the original cuz I watched it first.

The first and last episodes where very good I don’t care what anyone says the very last scene was so great it makes me cry every time
This was such a well made video
I seen Shameless up until the last four episodes in 2020/2021 but unfortunately I had to move and so I waited and re watched every season leading up until the last episode which I finished last night. Made me sad seeing frank go through dementia my pops had it and it was very sad and they depicted it very well as they did with a family growing up poor and dysfunctional all families are dysfunctional but not all are low income. I grew up in alot of similar ways low income dysfunctional drug/alcohol abuse. I think that's why I loved this show so much and related to alot of the storylines.
Fiona is my favorite always. Then Lip & Mickey& Frank. Mickey &Ian and Kev & V the couples I loved the most oh and Sheila 💓 she's one of my favorites too so Sheila & Frank's relationship too 😁💯 It was a good run. I just wish Emmy could have been in the last episode.
