Nicely composed and performed. In terms of the actual lyrics and music, it's more backward-looking than forward-looking, but that's not a bad thing. I plan to get the new album "=1".
I am another old guy listening to old music! But seriously, so many only know Smoke on the Water, at least in this country. Deep Purple are part of the Unholy Trinity of hard rock/heavy metal, along with Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath. They have many hits and I think they just tend to be more popular in Europe than here. Next, check out Child In Time (live) 1970. Iconic song that is basically their Stairway To Heaven. Yes!! It's that good!

It is a deceptively simple sounding song until you break those pieces apart, and factor in the organ and the guitar solo. Then you realize it truly is magic.
