I like the version where RM feels like expectations of people and roles don't really fit him. People think he has a wife and kids, he loves plants too much, they always trying to catch him smoking and drinking, or they think about him as a child, caring about him. He tries to escape it but he can't. In same time his real version, his sense of morality looking for him and when they finally meet, RM just accepts all expectations and in this moment he can leave the maze. (sorry my english. It's not my first language)
But we know that him with this golden liquor 🥃 and laughing with friends is him him. I have mixed feelings about that door. 🚪 it feels like an exit especially the whitish light when they both true. It is like all is past lives are taped in one and he is lost his own identity except when he met that mature woman that is him. And at the end they passed the door together. He fits this loop so everything reaches bliss. Ok to be a tolder, ok to be with a girlfriend ok to be with wife and daughter ok to enjoy a party.
Namjoon is a very unique artist. He doesn't make songs following trends just for money and views. He shows himself through his taste in music.And he also continues to learn to process his vocals in singing He is truly the king of KPop or we could say the father of KPop.
I was so surprised to see namjoon delve into this genre of music, k-indie, but then again it's namjoon so it fits perfectly with who he is now. I love this song so much

Hello to my favorite reactors! Did you guys notice the injury to his left eye ( looking at the mv)? Evidently he hit one of the cameras with his face and a cut occurred above causing him to get stitches . He came back onset the same day to work on the MV! Great reactions as usual ! This song is about the pressure to grow up within predetermined boundaries, such as the social construction of marriage and having a heteronormative partner, it's really profound knowing how in Korean society especially, people live a lot by social pressure and what people expect of them, That is why in the end we see how he understands that he does not

Rm’s Mono and and Indigo are such a gift to K pop
There are so many theories and interpretations. I just love it. RM was able to gather so many famous people to work on this project. The director is famous, the actors and actress are famous. The editor is famous, etc etc. There was an article that said that RM personally reached out to each person to ask them to participate. All the female actress are different people. To me the first half is what people expect of you--you go to a party and you are expected to enjoy and be all happy, you are expected to marry and have a family, you are expected to date a beautiful woman, you are expected to do what your parents expect, etc. But then, you come back to yourself and remember that you don't have to be anything that people expect you to be. You don't have to just be another fish in the sea. Anyway, RM has my favorite voice in the universe. And some people and I thought it briefly as well that they got lost in IKEA.

In the army RM plays saxaphone in the military band. I was so relieved he was not in charge of live amo. Wonder if his next song after RPWP will feature a saxaphone. In his discussion with Pharrell Williams they were saying you judge how good your lyrics are by how painful they are to write. PAIN DEVINE = creative inspiration?. My take on the mv. RM wanders around all these potential lives/ expectations, confused, depressed dissociated from people and unable to experience joy then he meets himself his other half( plato, Jung?). He is able to enjoy these different interactions but still leaves. As he meets up with his other half who is momentary purple( so here we have a rappers favourite a double ... she also represents ARMY also ) RM breaths deeply and moves through the door into the light to discover its all unreal a maze of sets, boxes made by and for someone else. In his first mix tape in DO YOU he refuses to be categorised into any genre boxed into any expectation. His message is consistent . RMs discomfort with expectation has gifted us with one of the most experimental and creative artists in contemporary music ...and he just doesn't stop. I feel privileged to have discovered him. RM made this album before Layover and FRI(END)S.

He's not making a decision, they are making a decision as a couple. This isn' t fiction this MV is about his real life. His happiness returned when his lover returned. He existed but wasn't really alive or living life fully without this person in his life. To the world he looked pulled together but at home he lived a zombie like existence going through the motions. Once he was alone he didn't care about appearances, forgetting to shower and losing track of time. He has hidden messages in this MV but he also gives clues and one of them is his partner's identity. The scenes with him and the lover gives you a clue. The door he's trying to escape out of is also a part of the message. He wants people to put on their thinking caps and figure it out. Maybe he spells it out in his album and we can stop guessing.
I was thinking its about people's expectations and not wanting to meet those expectations but I found this explanation which is maybe more about regrets and redoing things. Maybe it's both?... I'll have to think more on it but this is another explanation, not by me and I am not sure who originally wrote it, but I thouhgt it was clever so would love to share it...
~Minha is a librarian in the MV. The house is a library where Namjoon goes door to door from book to book. These each rooms are individual books. Each book takes him to a different environment in a different situation. All these books take him to those times of his life like: childhood with parents, love life, married life, drinking with friends, failure
At the end we see Minha leading him inside what is essentially a bookshelf and Namjoon sees the failures of his own life in the books inside.
Those who have read the book The Midnight Library will understand this whole thing. This is a book that Namjoon has read, liked and recommended. The final scene resembles a bookshelf in the Midnight Library where each book depicts protagonist Nora Seed's regrets.
Nora is a 34-year-old woman with depression who wanted to commit suicide. She passes between life and death. And that place is called midnight library.
We see Joon running from door to door in a corridor. He is given one more chance to go through his penances. The point is, "If I hadn't done that, maybe this wouldn't have happened to me." After reading the books, entering those rooms, Namjoon realizes that nothing more could have been done in this situation than what he did.
He finally realizes that he is the best version of himself and has nothing to regret. That's what we see at the end. Namjoon is getting out of those situations with librarian Minha. Then he came back to his present situation, hanging out with those friends and completely clear minded. This means he has no regrets or regrets.
By "Come back to me " he's calling his own old real self back to Himself and he finds himself back.~

It sucks knowing you could potentially support Israel bc of your silence so I unsubscribed and hopefully some of my friends will too, but know Bts supports Palestine. Idk how that makes you feel but they do and so does our fandom and we are very vocal about it. Y'all could help raise more money to help them, tho I don't see you doing that in the future..
