One thing I love about this is that the entire team does the haka and takes great pride in it, not just the ethnic Māori
This is the Māori All Blacks. They are all ethnically Māori.
@@m.l.b.2908 and the White blond one as well?
@@simonguiri9628 Yes. It's the Māori All Blacks, not the Māori and Some Ring-Ins Because We Couldn't Find Someone For This Position All Blacks.
@@m.l.b.2908 A few of them don't look ethnically pacific islander. Are you sure?
@@CptDangernoodle Yes, I'm sure. The majority of us are of mixed descent. We're not all brown-skinned. My sister have the same parents but she has blonde hair and green eyes like our grandmother. I'm a lot darker. She's not considered less Māori than I am.
The amount of respect shown between these two teams over the years is incredible. Win or lose they always have an amazing amount of respect and camaraderie
Great comment, true words I’m impressed by your comments hope we can be friends if that’s okay with you??
SO TRUE!
Do you mean disrespect? Screaming and shouting to intimidate is quite rude
@@khaledaldekaer8459 it's a haka you obviously don't understand the meaning behind the haka
@@joannesaunders5438 well if we're going to be honest the point of a Haka is to be violently rude to the other guy! 😆
Man the Haka is the greatest thing that has ever been culturally shared imo.
It’s pretty dumb looking 😂😂😂
I agree, and I'm from India, the land of history and tradition.
Make me emotional everytime
@@quiet7632yeah India. 😂😂
@@solargeneral6685 disrespectful
It might be little but the fact that the irish player who putted the shirt down in front of the All Blacks as a tribute to their dead player, he never showed his back, he walked backwards which is a great sign of respect you can give to a person. Someone who shows his back at you means that he doesn't care about you or what is happening. Great move from him! 👍👍
P.S. it was amazing! 🤯🤯
Putted is to have putt, like in golf, not to put. Put is always put in any past present or future sense, with the only variation being 'putting', as in 'he is putting it down'.
Depends on the culture and situation. Turning your back on someone is a show of trust, you willingly turn your blindsided to them and often times extended eye contact shows distrust.
Respect is cool.
This is what makes rugby such a special sport but in particular the Mana that New Zealand has and the ability to continue that through Māori traditions is something we can never lose for the world.
Such a cute little theatric.
When are the Irish going to do River Dance?
Ridiculous right?
Keep theatrics in locker room.
@@christianjambou8208 the haka is far more than a theatric. It's a challenge to the opposition and a promise to teammates. It is also a reminder of when it was a challenge made in war. But I agree, it is wasted on some people.
@@christianjambou8208 weak speech
Who is leading the haka?
@@roberts5539 👏 well done, sir. love it
"Soccer is a gentleman's game, played by hooligans. Rugby is a hooligans game, played by gentleman." What amazing respect and honour.
No, soccer is an hooligan's game, played and viewed by Hooligans.
@@steffenrosmus9177 Facts 😂
Very true ice hockey and rugby ,tough sports played by mostly gentlemen,. Very grup has a bad Apple or 2 in it
Then you haven't seen Messi on and off the pitch
Soccer is a fools game, played by actors - Rugby and Rugby league.. now thats a mans game!
I don’t know anything about rugby but finding this video and watching it knowing that it’s a tribute to a player who’s passed away made me start bawling. What a beautiful show of respect and camaraderie from both sides
It must be such a privilege to be part of, or witness the Haka. Such a beautiful practice.
Credit to all, NZR, Maori Rugby, Irish R.U. for not forgetting those who have passed.
The respect shown by Ireland before & after this game will stay with me forever, Bundi Aki giving Hongi’s, the Irish lining up to clap the Maori off, this is what sport is about for me.
Im sure the Wainui whanau are proud tonight, thank you to all who made these decisions
pure respect as always between two great countrys,it was the same when alel foyle died ,god bless them
Fair play to bundee

Proud of the boys, fantastic tribute. Thank you Ireland for putting up a great fight, great rugby tonight.
What’s the name of the song in the background playing towards the end ?
The way the little boy’s eyes were fixed on the Māori men… and they waved at him. God damn, the feels…
When I was a little Welsh child, thw hakawould make me cry with such deep and unexplainable emotion.
Now I'm a little Welsh adult and it's all the more special to watch and appreciate.
RIP fallen warrior.
This one is so special and so emotional
Indeed
Even bundee aki being a samoan brother walking the shirt out. He feels it
I dont mean no offense but what is this tradition whats its origin and why is it done?
Could not help but shed tears, my wife rubbed my shoulder asking of i was ok, looking at my tamariki playing in the lounge i couldnt help but feel aroha for Sean Wainui's whanau and the team as he meant so much to the Maori All Blacks and New Zealand rugby. I watched and cheered to such an extent i was told off! So very proud, Maori!
Had that same reaction when I saw the school do it for their professor. Only watch if you're ready for some powerful feels.
What’s the songs name playing in the background towards the end of the video?
Lies again? Hello Kansas
Irish person watching and hard to not feel the emotion in that clip. Curious, what is the tamariki, aroha (respect - maybe?) and whanau? Also, if two NZ teams are playing each other, do both teams say the same chant or is there a response from the other team?
Could you translate all those Mauri words into English please, I think it's safe to presume most of us haven't got the foggiest idea what you're talking about 🤔
The Haka is totally AWESOME
I don't watch rugby but I love watching haka. It is so powerful and moving!
The power, the fierce pride, and their love of culture gives me goosebumps on top of goosebumps.
Super cringe of you have testo
@@Aria432Nah, that's just respect.
@@Aria432this is supposed to be for testosterone.
What a haka. I could feel those babies enveloped in love and respect as was his partner. Rest in Peace.
When the little boy waved to the Maori players and some waved back made me tear up. That was a show of respect for the son of a fallen and much respected opponent that you rarely see anymore.
Love the absolute respect Rugby players show to each other. They go into battle and win or lose they applaud each other as warriors at the end of the game.
TBH I cried.. That haka was amazing. Respect to the Irish lads for the return gesture.. Sean and Axel are well proud of their guys 💕💕
Your comment is so heart touching yes I agree with you, can we be friends if you don’t mind?
Best moments of Haka I've seen so far... Respect...Rest well Sean

A moment that tugs at your heart Rip young man what a wonderful jesture by the squad. God bless them.

I have never watched a haka and not teared up. It's such a powerful show of respect.
I'm exactly the same.
Watching these hakas always makes me emotional! They are so powerful & beautiful!
As a Saffa I have immense respect for both MABs and ABs. As a kid, my mother and father always called me out of bed early in the mornings so I could see the Haka whenever Springboks played against the ABs in New Zealand. It was always a pleasure to see it.
Aag shame
Same bro
My mum used to wake me up for the games too
Rest Eazy Mum❤
Tears were had. Massive respect and aroha to the Wainui whanau.
I KNEW we were going to win this one from the first moment of the haka. This one's for you Sean. Po marie e toa.
Every time I hear it give goosebumps this time it makes me in tears love the energy.
The cry, the unison, the feelings, the sensation in voice, everything is in absolute sync.. each time every time all the time.. just love it.. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Huge mana for Sean Wainui. That was special seeing his whanau receiving the Ireland jersey too.
That was very touching could feel the Wairua hard,Im sure Sean was with every one of the players and gave them a lift.
I'm sure everyone is counting their blessings.
Well done both teams.
I cried then, I cried today. The meaning of Family above all. As is our Way. ❤️
How they stopped and showed respect at the end got me emotional. It was intense true warriors
RIP my man. All my LOVE and RESPECT to his family and all in the game.
This is life. Moments like this break your heart and then you see what the boys did. I love rugby.
This was of similar emotion as to the video of NZ school boys performing haka as farewell to their teacher. Much respect from Florida🤙
Chills in my spine. That was beautiful.
oh man I shed tears when Shaun's family walked on to the field I will never forget Shaun's legacy he really left an impact on us all RIP bro

Man, I didn't expect to shed real tears at the end there with that moment with their lost team mates wife and kids. You could see in their eyes that instead of crying they will dedicate their rage that night to him.

The Irish responded with the most epic river dancing in Irish history.
I'm not Maori but I cry like an infant every time I see the Haka. It is as if you can see people's spirits coming together and strengthening in unity. I truly feel honored that the Maori are so openly proud and share this with the entire world. We are all so lucky.

Wow that's the best one I've seen. Brilliant.
Why am I crying? This is also deeply powerful!
Was at this game in hamilton, as an irish born maori boy. Moving back to this whenua, Aotearoa. I have never felt more at home amongst a culture so similar to the one i grew up in. Proud irish 🇮🇪 proud to be tangata whenua. Ngapuhi hard.
The irish should've started to tap dance
I know this is a joke, but this was not a good place for a joke.
The respect shown on that field was amazing.
So the irish aren't allowed to tap dance and show their mad skills too
@@gustavodominguez6247 come on. Like I said it was a wrong place for a joke. It was a memorial. If they danced a jig awesome, but it was a tribute to a fellow man of culture.
