About the Pokedex!
► The Pokédex is a digital encyclopedia created by Professor Oak as an invaluable tool to Trainers in the Pokémon world. It gives information about all Pokémon in the world that are contained in its database, although it differs in how it acquires and presents information over the different media. However, they are also only given to a few Trainers at a time, generally to the ones that are felt to have exceptional potential and skill. There are different types of Pokédexes and each Pokédex is special to a specific region. Pokédex entries typically describe a Pokémon in only two or three sentences. They may give background information on the habitat or activities of a Pokémon in the wild or other information on the Pokémon's history or anatomy. Pokédex entries also include height, weight, cry, footprint (prior to Generation VI), location, other forms, and a picture of the Pokémon.

I remember when one of my friends completed the Unova and national dex, and he went to the nature preserve, he caught a lvl. 100 gyarados and caught the Haxorus, we thought he was hacking lol. He still has them to this day

@@sampanicker4725 they can have viruses. Even i, who has downloaded three safe emulators, have trust issues and i try my hardest make sure they are completely safe. Even tp the point of trying to check Wikipedia and Reddit. And if that's not enough, i have to worry about downloading roms, which could have viruses. (Luckily, Vimm's Lair doesn't have any roms with viruses but still)

Gen 5 was GF most effort put into Imo.
I never understood why Gen 5 was so hated. I mean, I got it at first but then they gave us Alola
I think it was disliked at the time form older fans for how it distanced itself from previous gens. Like how in the first game you can barely catch any Gen I-IV Pokémon. But it has so much effort and personality put into it.
Also, you can get two Diplomas in B2W2, if you link the games. Neat.
My favorite will always be professor elm in gen 2, though.

In all seriousness I just pointed out that completing a National Pokedex stopped being an official goal roughly 3 years ago. The game doesn't acknowledge it.

Generation 5 has always been my favorite since I was a child and to see how much effort was put into the game that I didn’t get to appreciate as a kid is amazing. What a great set of games I must’ve sunk months of playtime into them.
