I live in Mississippi, I have pitted jumping spiders against brown recluses and black widows. It wins 95% of the time. I actually keep them in my house because they're so efficient and never bother me. I find them quite adorable.

I love ants but in all honesty, they had comparable numbers which took the ants usual advantage away, plus the wasps had a mobility and size advantage to boot. I'd be interested to see paper wasps take on an ARMY ant colony.

When I was younger I used to do the samething 'cause I wanted to see the distruction, hisses and VIOLENCE.
Well it happened to me to as kid too, to toss a bug in an ant nest out of curiosity.
But as profesionnals it is more gratfying to find it happening in the wild rather than just ruin two colonies for entertainment.

Yesterday I was talking to my friend about this series and I said to him "It would be very cool if we saw an ant colony vs a wasp colony." And now I'm super excited to see whats going to happen.
Could of just snapped a branch off a tree with a wasp nest and drop it on top of an ant colony just like the people did for this video lol they said “a wind storm” 1. It was sunny as hell 2. That was the only LIVE!! Branch that even moved lol 3. Not one leaf on any branch on any tree was moving at all lol 4. It was blatantly obvious lol

Green Ants, or Weaver Ants as they're more commonly known, are highly valuable as natural pest control in Southeast Asia because they eat caterpillars and don't tend to mind human presence. Farmers will pay to have colonies moved to their orchards, like farmers in North America will pay for ladybugs.

That first one with the battle of green ants and paper wasps was awesome. Preemptive striking the colony headquarters was intelligent. Draw them away and confuse the battle lines. It was the only smart move to make. Hats off to General Hormiga Verde. Brilliantly executed.
Green Ants vs. Paper Wasps was definitely the greatest battle I've seen so far. The sound effects and awesome puns are some of what make this show great. The other thing is the video work, how close are the videographers actually getting to get these shots? I can't say enough good things about this show.

Right.. At the worst, both colonies simply thinned each other out. In the end they were both screwed over pretty good, But not completely. In the end, both moved on with life. When one side gained the upper hand the other had to do the smart thing and leave. Besides did you see the aftermath? The ants had plenty of fallen wasps to butcher and carry with them for dinner.

To say such encounters only occur via human intervention, is about as realistic as saying that the weight of buildings cause earthquakes. Whether that branch was dropped by wind, or human hand, the odds of such an event occurring by ANY force is equally random. Branches break, all over the world, ALL the time. How?,...a bird, a monkey, a leopard, dominoed by another rotting tree, wind, damaged, or weakened by disease, overweight, over extended, lightning, etc. the list is endless.
Finally the one crucial value you appear to have completely discounted,... Humans, and their actions, regardless of motive, are 100% part of the progression and status of the natural order. The ability to reason, or act on our emotions does not separate us from the rest of the natural world, just as the capacity to lie, cheat, and steal, does not negate the fact that we ARE primates.
