The style of writing in "catcher in the rye" is profound yet simple and it had so much depth . You have to be in so much pain to get it right .
Or people confuse it for many things. They don't get it .
"to kill a mockingbird" is also pure and a good book.

Watched Lolita (newer version) the last week and found it to be subtlety layered with multiple character flaws and beauties. Being a precocious kid made me wonder whether I would be able to contemplate the plot’s covert details but I did after several attempts and realised what I considered to be Lolita’s consensual grant to engage in such a relationship didn’t qualify as her respective choice but mere manipulation on part of Humbart to serve his personal ends. Still it was such a gripping take on emotional ties that I cared for him in the end to elope with her somehow.
But one thing that hovered past through my head was whether she was even sublimely interested in him as a paramour. Please if you manage to get through this tiresome comment, help me comprehend the climax. Anyone- Helly or other fellows

After sifting through a chunk of your videos, this one in particular made me subscribe. I was rolling my eyes from all the YA books you've covered in your other videos (no offense to those who like it, not a fan myself, personal preference and all) but to see you cover some actual literature is rather refreshing.
You really should complete Orwell's Animal Farm, the satire he portrays to the Russian conflicts and the control of language, while not the best, is worthy of respect. Lolita is another favorite instant classic of mine that you've mentioned, and the prose and control, to the extents Nabokov has, is seen once in a century. I'll recommend a few more books for you, in case you haven't read them, The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde, The Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald, and if those seem to be too old and out of time for you; you should check out some of Updike's works, his works are truly the only thing that instill hope and the need for me to keep reading in this YA ridden era of modern "literature", to be taken with a pint of sarcasm, mind you.
Well, love the content! Don't know how CZcams put you in my recommendations, but I sure am glad that it did!

Readers don't understand that lolita is supposed to evoke emotions in the reader, and by making them sympathise with humberts plight, bring out traces of paedophilia inside themselves and subsequently make them feel ashamed of themselves. The novel explores the rhetorical effects of language. If you read the forward, the writer under the guise of John ray condemns humberts actions. If you read the afterword, nobokov calls the novel his rendezvous with the English language.

It's interesting to know that I've read banned books as a part of my syllabus. Read 'To kill a mocking bird' in school and 'Beloved' and 'Frankenstein' were part of my college curriculum. All of them are amazing!
