We have seen it tho using his powers to break the ice using the lightning to disappear and using the lightning to get the dragons off him in the 3rd film by the epilouge of hidden world after snoggletog he is fully grown and could use his full power by the epilouge and homecoming compared to when they first met they even created a new species
The Nightlights are the most adorable tiny dragons I've ever seen and I'd absolutely love to see more of them in the future. I'm still working on getting them in the Dragons:Rise of Berk game XD

I love these films and their dragons! Always interesting to learn more about them. Did you know they are somewhat based on books?
I also heard a rumour that there is a 4th movie in the works. And while I'd love to learn more about these little guys, I don't think I really want another movie. These last three were just, amazing! And I'm not sure where else they could take the series as far as threats go. Dunno though. Maybe I'm not thinking hard enough!

The end of the third movie said that “Vikings will guard the secret of dragons until it is safe for them to return” and I think hiccup said “I believe one day they will” which might mean a soft reboot. Meaning we will see hiccups daughter the future chieftess- struggling in a sexist community maybe or something. And somehow she will bring the dragons back.

Well that's the same as them saying no one had ever seen a night fury in the first film. Their knowledge was really limited until Hiccup started his search for it.
It's quite possible or even likely, depending on how much overlap the species' ranges had. Of course for me that further convinces me the nightlights are just sterile hybrids like ligers. Or if such hybrids had existed in the past, they had no evolutionary advantage over the two parent species so never gained a foothold as a species in their own right.
WolfyShay Studios I’ve said this a lot. Not a new species. Just different breeds. They wouldn’t make kids if they were different species.

Thanks for this wonderfully informative video on the cute little marshmallow dragons! I love their designs and their dragon species name so much!! Also, I'm always so happy to see more videos on HTTYD. Despite it's popularity and how highly critics think of the franchise in general, there's really not that many videos on this amazing franchise in relative to other movies out there. And the only ones I've been seeing lately have been negative on the last movie ☹
i mean, I get where they're coming from, but I would just enjoy more positive videos on these movies that is not just a review on them. I love videos like this that talk about the lore and the world and the characters.

Lol, so I love the idea that they’re called ‘nightlights’ and it sounds so cute while they’re babies ...what about when they get older. A Berlin: “here comes the nightlights!” Enemy: “nightlight? Sounds cute, what can it do?” (Cue terrifying dragon attack 🤣)
I definitely hope Dreamworks releases a mini-movie about the Nightlights like they did Book of Dragons so we can see more of them!

Yes we need to see more of the Nightlights! We also need like an entirely new series about Hiccup and Astrid's kids mixing with Toothless and the Lightfury's kids. Then everyone goes on an epic adventure like old times, the dragons don't stay in hiding anymore, and then bam we have a new how to train your dragon franchise.

Oh, I always thought the Light fury was just an albino female Night Fury
I have to admit I was a little disappointed when it was pretty much revealed we wont ever see a female Night Fury in the films. I just want to see what a female Night Fury would look like, like if it was smaller or didn't have green eyes.
I love the night lights and I wonder if they inherit the power of both parent or one verseue the other. Or new power to be discovered.
