Lionel Veranda Turbine! The most amazing non-steam engine I own!

I finally took delivery of a Veranda Turbine! The protptypical successor to the Big Boy Steam engine.
This is the most robust, rell built, and feture rich O-Gauge engine I own asside from my Vision Line Big Boy!! Thats saying a whole lot!

This is a great locomotive! I saved for a year to buy the Army version. I wanted something special to pull my POW car and other armed forces cars in honor of my father's service and being a POW for 3.5 years in WWII. However, I was great disappointed upon receipt of loco. 3 of the trucks were dangling off the bottom of the frame, and all worm gears were not showing an ounce of grease. I knew others who were experiencing same issues. I had to return to Lionel and was without for several weeks. They did return in perfect condition, which is important here. It was just a bad experience. I would strongly suggest checking worm gears for grease. I have again groen to love it.

That is a nice locomotive. Too bad that there were those annoying, little problems with the paint and truck. I would also turn the crew talk off, as it isn't very realistic. That weight should make it a great puller. It would be interesting and fun to see how many cars you could run with it. Excellent video.
