      I've always found store bought lasagne severely lacking even if it is cheap and microwavable. Home made is the way to go with a box of dried lasagne sheets and a proper oven. Bechamel sauce is the hardest part (it's just another pan and very easy).

    Standard premade lasagna is a pain, because lasagna always gets stuck to the metal oven container rather than going on your plate and in your mouth. The yorkshire pudding doesn't cling to the metal and ensures all the lasagna makes it to the plate.

      They don’t if you use a knife to cut around the edges of the lasagna in the tray then use a spatula to cut a portion then get underneath it and lift it up and out onto the plate same way you’d do a home made one

    • @racingspoon
      @racingspoon Před rokem +2

      They should put some meat sauce or bechamal on the bottom before the first layer of pasta. 👍

    • @martineyles
      @martineyles Před rokem

      @@Alexander_l322 The edges aren't generally smooth and flat but have ridges to allow them to be stronger with less material. Even if you use a knife and a spatula and use a spoon to try to get the remainder out of the corners, there will be some left over. This is harder with a small one person serving (which the reviewed product is), where you can only just fit in the spatula. This is generally less of an issue with home made lasagna because the reusable dishes generally don't need the ridges because they're made of thicker material. Even then, you may get some difficult to remove baked on portions.

    *Fantastically presented and reviewed the New Twisted Yorkshire filled lasagne 🙌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻*
    I can totally see how the flavour would drown out the Yorkshire pudding. The crusty top or the crumb sounds like a real texture enhancement as does the crispy Yorkshire . an instant thought that the Yorkshire is a vessel for the lasagne. Lasagne is a delicately strong meal. Brilliant concept though.
    Would I buy this? Probably. Well done all around. Very interesting.

Because a lasagne in a Yorkshire pudding just a gimmick and £4 pounds not cheap, I remember iceland god you could spend £50 quid and you got loads of items but now them days have gone I think iceland now there food prices are sky high now to have a big shop in iceland now you need to take out a mortgage..thanks gaz doing a great job.

Surely the question should be “Does the Yorkshire pudding need the sheets of pasta?” Just put the meat ragu sauce straight into the pudding and add a layer of cheesey bechamel sauce, cook so the top starts to take a little colour and serve with a couple of slices of garlic bread and a small garnish of parsley .

    Tip: get yourself a Morrison's Savers beef lasagne, 400g for 85p, and 200g of excellent Yorkshire puddings from Sainsbury's for 48p. 😉

    Takeaway priced pizzas are ridiculously expensive but I'd still rather have one of them rather than a frozen one which is never as good. Same goes for oven chips, I've given up on these nowadays as well considering that most of them seem to taste like cardboard.

      You can put oven chips in your deep fat fryer if you have one.

      Some of them are good for the price though. I'm simply not paying £15 for a pizza when if you find the right £2 one it's almost as good. Morissons 79p thin crust one is good, Ristorante are good, Lewis Capaldi cheese is good, the old La Bottega ones were better than Domino's. Even then There's fresh ones like Morissons Best stonebaked range that are consistently better than takeaway for less than half the price.
      There aren't many excuses for wasting money on domino's besides admitting you just prefer it over perfectly reasonable alternatives.
