Otherwise known as "The Annual Che Tries to Get Colin Canceled Fest."
That Scarlett joke was gold, though.
And Colin Tries to Get Che #MeToo'd (which is being canceled because of a sexual offense).
And it's actually "Semi-Annual", because they do a Christmas one and a season finale/almost summer one.
And I remember when this was "The Annual Reading Jokes That Were Too Offensive for Saturday Night Live Fest" (seasons 41 to around 43). Guess with everything going on in the world, they decided to go in a different direction...one that reminds me of the Chevy Chase/Richard Pryor racist word game sketch from season one.
He’s going to have a few words with his wife tonight
This year it’s the “Che tries to get Colin divorced fest”
I didn’t get it
@@lemong2548 If you're referring to the Scarlett Johansson joke, she has been at the center of controversy over the Hollywood whitewashing of characters of color, (namely, when she played a Japanese character in the film version of the manga "Ghost in the Shell"). She also happens to be Colin's wife, which makes the joke extra spicy.
I would watch a full episode of SNL with just them swapping jokes
I co-sign.
I add my sig as well. Two more and it’s a charter lol

Yes - I think this is the best team
You are sorta. They are the head writers, and write most of the skits week to week.
Usually Jost's jokes for Che are real soft balls but making Che say "rest in power, king" about Epstein is solid.
He didn't deliver the last line well, because he didn't understand it in time. "Rest in power, King, I'll take it from here." 😁😁😁
Colin finally ready to play the game how it's played
Colin suggested this bit and caught many L's from Che because he didn't think he was going to come with heat. Now it seems like he is an equal with the joke writing. Che deliver better lol
I love how Che was laughing about the previous joke, but he started chuckling differently once he saw the headline for his joke.
@@k-master973 I laughed when I noticed that 😆
Che’s laughter at his own ScarJo joke is just too funny. You can hear him cackling at his own devious prank before the camera pans away from Colin.

@@dietotaku when did this happen? I can't find the video
They are actors, They do a dress rehearsal show and live show every saturday. Now, without hearing from someone that attended dress, might have used different jokes to keep it first look fresh but possible had heard once already. Kind of interesting, history of the two tapings. Handful of times west coast has had full or partial replacements of show, without dress i believe mostly because of controversial performances by that nights musical guest. Google it like i plan on after this post, to refresh my memory
@@DanWagner77 West coast gets the show at the same time. It’s on at 8:30 here. You’re talking about reruns.
Maybe he’s thinking of the times that “30 Rock” did live shows, with a different run for the east and west coasts? Since that show is basically SNL, lol.
The Scarlett cultural appropriation joke was a double punch.
Cultural appropriation doesn't exist im sorry but it just doesn't. Culture is fluid, and everybody is a mixture of different cultures and so therefore nobody can lay claim to any single culture. These super "woke" theories only serves as us vs them propaganda that will help to divide people further than they already are. What is the purpose of drawing arbitrary lines between people based on some false dichotomy that pretends like every culture exists within a vacuum. The reality is that nobody's culture is separate from anyone else's and nor should they be. Culture lives on by being adopted by more and more people over its lifetime. Cultures that dont spread, die. It really is that simple. We are all human beings and our shared culture generally far surpasses whatever superficial differences there may be.

I love that Colin always says "give jokes," whereas Michael always says "make each other read jokes." It really sums up their approaches to this tradition.
Indubitably...
Please explain?

@@tottenham2294 The way Colin says it, it sounds like innocent fun. But the way Michael says it, you know he's betting on making his co-host say something embarrassing.
Colin wants to keep it light so that the racist jokes don't look bad on him, but Che is too playful to make it easy on him.

For 5 seconds, until the ScarJo joke.
That had me laughing. But Che still got Colin with the counter with the Sammy Davis joke.
It seemed like che was supposed to say "rest in power king, I'll take it from here." But never really followed through the whole joke clearly.
All the white liberals dont get it though. They think epstein island is a non story and coluns wife playing a japanese character is worse than being a child molester.
Collin: "fun, harmless, inoffensive jokes."
Michael: "So, you have chosen death"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don’t know man. I don’t think the Epstein joke was “inoffensive” lmao
This is literally what happened. There's an interview out there where Michael Che says Colin suggested this to him, and he thought it was a setup only to find that Colin was being legit and just wanted to swap jokes
The only thing I dislike about this is that it was too short this year!!!
Well, their Weekend Update was very packed.
Me too! This had to be the shortest joke swap segment they've ever done.
Michael Che has never laughed harder than that ScarJo joke. Dang that's funny.
Tune in Christmas 2021 to see how - and if - he can possibly top that!
Dang is for people who believe in heck.
Michael's scandalized face after Colin makes a joke is the real winner of this video
"That's pretty racist, Colin"
The whole segment's gold, but that is THE primary thing I look forward to when this annual thing rolls around. XD
Your picture reminds me of the limewire logo 😅
@@justin01144 omg that took me baaaaack lmao
Jost’s stories: Racism.
Che’s stories: Sex.
And it’s always so damn funny. 😂
It's because Che is jealous of who Jost is having sexy time with XD
And one joke about ScarJo
I agree
Racism/sex , share number one in all time funny top ten!
The only terrible thing about their Xmas swap jokes is that they only happen once a year
"Rest in power, King-I'll take it from here."
Colin actually made a joke so bad that Michael couldn't deliver the punchline. He just trailed off laughing nervously! Aha ha. heh
The best part is Che trying to stifle his laugh right before the Scarlett punchline.
Che still won this round, but Colin came close to beating him with the Epstein joke.
Yup, the scarjo joke pushed Che to win again this year, but without it, Jost would've got it.
The joke was so brutal that ache couldn’t even finish the “I’ll take it from here” punchline! 😭
Colin might have won, if Che hadn't used that devastating ScarJo attack
I think most people didn't get how brutal that Hocus Pocus joke was. That was definitely personal taste joke.
@@jemiebridges3197 I agree with you. I think Colin won this round, especially considering he got one fewer joke.

@@rodiona8781 ...you need to watch the other joke swaps.

Colin’s motivation for these jokes: What would be funny coming from Michael Che?
Michael’s motivation: What would end Colin’s career?

Haha your right😂😂😂
That's a fact, but he gets to go home to ScarJo...he'll probably be ok 😅

Che can get away with giving racist jokes to Jost. Jost can't get away with anything anywhere near that offensive. He's at a disadvantage, which is fine because it's hilarious.

I honestly thought Colin finally won and then like you said that Scarlett Johansson middle just wow
Exactly! So close to winning, and yet, so far.
Colin should have been allowed one more joke for Michael, Collin started and ended

That Rosa Parks joke was hilarious and you can tell Colin was so uncomfortable after he delivered it. 😂

I think Colin making Michael a child rapist evens out all the times Michael made Colin a dirtbag racist. Not that I'm complaining, these switched jokes are darkly and so messed up hilarious. It's because we know (or do we really?) that these two are none of the things the other makes them out to be in the jokes. That's why they're jokes.
