Even though I know he's going to say it, I laugh every time.
Colin’s simultaneous embarrassment for the words coming out of his mouth and his responsibility to read every word on those cards is incredibly endearing and entertaining. The way he smiles and drops his head in his hands
This was so funny, finally snl creating content that has to do with comedy
These two are the best, hands down. I could listen to weekend update with them all the time and it would never stop being funny. Josts facial expressions are priceless 🤣
Just a little bit overdone of his part?

The blue lives matter jokes is the first time Colin actually got revenge on Che.
I dunno, the Epstein "Rest in Power king, I'll take it from here" had Che going pretty good too, right before Che came back with another knockout.
Rhat was flippin good. And to be honest after wiping my tears of laughter I thought Jost got che its over....... lmao and then there was woody allen. oh what little did I know.
The cure for cancer was great also.
Yes, this was one of Colins best. But, then Che came back with that second black Superman joke. Damn he’s ruthless.
@Lipstick Nista So?
What makes this funnier is that you can tell these two genuinely like each other.
Acually I thought it was the fact that black people acually do all the shit they are making fun of them for....while at the same time denying thet do said shit...
Could you sit there and swap offensive jokes with someone you didn't? I mean, the jokes would be a helluva lot better lol, but a lot less fun.

Colin's smug face and 'that's really nice of you' comment makes it even better

Michael literally clapping his hands over his own “man of steal” joke was golden
why?
@@PharaohFluidity because he was making his best friend say what he wrote. This takes roasting to another level.
@The Lonely Shepherd are we all missing the point of the segment. many times this may have happened in small groups of people during high school for instance. yet, here it is a show stopper because it is really what people would like to say. quirky but no pun intended and don't forget to laugh. It is brilliant writing to also make Colin think he was out of the woods with the racist Superman jokes and then bring it back in for the third whammy. Rule of Three works everytime.

When people complain about how SNL sucks compared to the old days, this segment is the first and only line of defense.
Weekend Update and the cold open are the only funny segments on SNL and sometimes the cold open fails to deliver. The rest of the show is shit.
Also the music videos and pretaped sketches.
Why do you need a line of defense for a comedy show.
Weekend Update is usually pretty funny. As for the skits, I don't see why the performers constantly cracking up at their own jokes and breaking character is now seen, by some, as the pinnacle of comedic talent.
Also to add they only show the best videos of the old days so it all seems like gold. Completely agree with you.
They're literally trying to kill each other in the most fun way possible
