- Halo: Fireteam Raven is a new shooter arcade game, first of its kind for the Halo series. It follows an ODST squad through the events of Halo: CE.
I'll give it a 5/10 as deaths didn't feel avoidable. There's no dodge tech like in Time Crisis, everyone had the same amount of deaths at the end of the game. 42 credits used, that's S$159.60 (~US$117). There are also unfair deaths, like Player 2 at 13:30 (50% HP gone in 1 second) and Player 1 at 43:40 (75% HP gone in 1 second).
Filmed at Timezone Vivocity, Singapore. Shot on iPhone X, sound from Razer Seiren setup. Would have been shot on a DSLR at a better angle, but apparently Timezone doesn't allow DSLRs inside.

The marines are the halo 2 anniversary marines. A lot of the sound effects are from halo 2 anniversary. Pretty much all the enemy and vehicle designs are from halo 2 anniversary. Also one of the missions take place on forge world from halo reach. The hunters are from halo 5 and how one rages once the other dies. The Warthogs are from halo 4. The scarab and flood tank form from halo 3. Most of the game is set in halo CE anniversary's campaign. Flood juggernaut forms from unused halo 2 content. ODST's from halo 3 ODST. Also the blaster you hold the whole time is Jorge's chain gun from halo reach. The lich from halo 4. Space banshees and seraphs from halo reach. This seems like a great game
I swear this stuff makes a lot more sense if you read the books. This is actually pretty soft as far as lore discrepancies go.
Notice that Halo Fireteam Raven does happen to be set in the same timeframe as Halo 1 because this arcade game is set during the Battle of Installation 04 which we remember seeing in Halo 1. And I would agree that Halo Infinite should definitely be very amazing and hopefully the Flood returns in that game and I hope to see the Flood Juggernaut in that upcoming Halo game.
The few times we saw Chief and he's just a beast like always.

Official lore means all books, games, and more which are considered canon by 343. In fact, some of the events in the games can be completely nullified as canon if 343 chooses to do so. Making them entirely non-canon.
See: quite a few things in Reach being non-canon, having been explained through Halo Waypoint updates.

Yeah it was in Halo 2, it was an unfinished flood form that was going to be in the game but either they decided not to or they ran out of time, it's in Halo 2. You have to mod it in though, it's somewhere in the game files so you have to spawn them in

The fact that the game is based off the first halo game, we already know how it's going to end for all the human forces on the planet. The fact that in spite of overwhelming odds, the UNSC forces fight to the very last bullet knowing there is no way they are going to survive is nothing short of awe inspiring and a shining example of the human spirit.
If you read the novel First Strike (a tie-in novel that bridges the first game with Halo 2), there were a handful of survivors that survived the initial destruction of 04.

A lore friendly arcade game, one that doesn't really retcon anything in The Flood book. In fact, it helps explain some stuff.
I haven't read The Flood in over 10 years, but did the Covenant actually send a Scarab to try to destroy the Pillar of Autumn like in the last mission of this game?

I remember that the Odsts were doing other stuff for Major Silva in the flood and that he hated Spartans cause they killed his men for an experiment and that Yayap the second best character in the book and the elite he saved trying to kill Master chief kept failing

but wouldn't having pelicans flying around in the background having a battle with a scarab contradict the feel of lost hope you had when echo 419 got shot down cause if there were more pelicans chief and cortana to contact one of them to pick em up, then again the battle would've explained where echo 419 was in the area to pick up chief and cortana and where those banshees that shot her down came from.
Not gonna lie - I still think this would've been cool as a lightgun game. Just being able to hold a big, brightly-colored goofy replica of an Assault Rifle would pretty much seal the deal on it.

Interestingly, the halo 2 anniversary marines are modeled off of halo wars marines.
Some sounds are from halo 3 too. Like the assault rifle and I think the plasma rifle/pistol. Also the magnum is from reach.

Basically the plot is from the book "The Flood" which is a novelization of the first game. The only difference is that it only depicts the human side story while in the book we see the covenant side to these battles as well.
Yeah, the characters like the AI, Major Silva alpha base all owe their existence to that book, and The Fall of Reach which paved the way for pretty much every single book that followed
Escaping the boarding, the raid on the crash site, and the Covie attacks on the Autumn survivors during the Chief's campaign. Those were big moments in the book. The addition of the Flood encounters and the last stand/stall for the Autumn's self-destruct were a nice touch.

The sad thing is that the ending was always known: everyone dies because that's how it goes down in Halo 1 and the books. Only the Chief, Sergeant Johnson, Cortana and a few other survived as seen in the EPIC Halo: First Strike and of the group that made it off Halo, only the Chief, Cortana and Johnson survived to make it back to Earth.

@@s1lenttaked0wn-90 Okay so technically in the books, when Chief assaults The Truth And Reconciliation, those are ODSTs with him. But in game they're marines. So ODST were TECHNICALLY present in CE, we just don't see them.

Been a LONG time since I've played an arcade game, never could beat House of the Dead or Time Crisis. This looks really fun.
Also, I always pictured Alpha Base as being in a more heavily wooded area, like in or near a forest, guess it makes sense that it'd be in a flatland if they buried Scorpions to defend it.

gameglitcher4 it wasn’t like that with Jurassic park arcade released in 2015. Ever since the walking dead rawthrills and play mechanix games have been like that since. You can get hit loads and loads of times at the start of the game and not much damage but the further you get the more damage you take meaning it would only take one hit eventually and it’s the same with this game and nerf arcade also by rawthrills

Spartan-Felix Haul Its assumed to be on Alpha Halo but it’s on an unidentified Halo ring. The location where Raven Down takes place is indeed very similar to Forge World because of the way the area looks in that mission.

This being largely a Raw Thrills production (a company ran by a lot of ex-Midway staff), there's a lot of their style to this one. It's almost like a souped-up Halo-flavored version of Midway's Terminator 2!
I really liked this different perspective of halo ce. The pillar of autumns crew were all real heros in the end. They were able to effectively fight back to the last man standing. That last man standing was the master chief and he eventually saved humanity!
At this point we really need more lore added to what happened during the Battle for Installation 05, so much was happening at once yet we literally only have the game to go off some of the details.
@@Burning-Twilight true but at the end of the day it all led to the same result. The crew built a base they were able to use for a couple of days but then the flood began to overrun it. At that exact moment halo was destroyed. Pretty crazy stuff there.

I played this game today, it was absolutely awesome! The massive screen, the surround audio, and the force feedback on the guns and chair was super immersive.
The ending though, i thought they would survive yet the last thing they see is flood surrounding them

Just had the amazing chance to go to Dave & Buster’s yesterday to check this game out!
It is superb playing alongside my brother and two of our friends from school, and I love the fact that it uses elements from all the Halo games!
Of course I bought the infinite non-ticket games...
Because without it, it would’ve cost a fortune
So basically, this takes place during the first game and these guys are the reason why the enemy presence master chief encountered wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

This game looks really stunning and it's an amazing addition to the Halo Combat Evolve lore but it's cruel and unfair as fuck.
I would say everything about this is cool except for the massive black line in the center where the monitors are split. If they could fit it all on one monitor it would be amazing

31:03 Fun fact: The Flood Juggernaut was originally cut from Halo 2 (2004) and wasn't mentioned ever again in the games until Halo Wars 2 (2017). They actually appear for the first time in the franchise here in Fireteam Raven! (2018)

The fact that this arcade game basically amalgamizes EVERYTHING from all of the halo games ever in terms of vehicles, enemies, assets...
And literally it's all ACTUALLY lore friendly. It's almost like a retcon but in a GOOD way
The use of the halo 2 pilot was epic and seeing him was better Holy shit this did great
