Unclear why you took off the large plastic panel? To what end? Also, what's the difference between this mirror with part # ending in "B" and the same one ending in "F"?
Hi Sean. Thanks for the video. Having A LOT of trouble getting the sunglass holder back in. A spring popped out of the right side and the gear on the left doesn't seem to want to reseat itself. If you ran into this issue, do you have any tips for how to get it back into place with the "soft open" function working properly? IF not, id advise folks to just use a trim tool to pull the cover on the light to access the big trim piece and avoid this headache.
Good video, just picked up my 2019 Golf R and was a bit surprised that a car coming out in 2019 doesn't have a Homelink connection by default. Anyways, ordered the part just now.

Does this keep the auto-dimming for the drivers and passengers side mirrors? I've had a few comments from a forum that it only keeps the rearview mirror as auto-dimming?
Its funny how people these days have no patience for anything. If it is not 2 minutes people can't handle it. Detailed information takes time. I can't stand videos you watch and they don't give you any of the information you need because they try to make them 5 min videos.

This is only for Rear view, side mirrors do not have dimming feature

Yes they have made them universal. It is just with or without DAP. Your dealer will get you the right one.
