- Another Mega Epic Half Dollar Hunt! This was one of my BEST half dollar hunts ever!
This is Part 1 of a two-part video series! So - I picked up 2 boxes of half dollars from my bank, and let me tell you... These half dollar boxes were EPIC! The first box (the half dollar box featured in this video) contained some serious silver and made for one of the best boxes I have ever hunted... That being said, Part 2 had a BOX that was ridiculous! Between the two boxes, it was my largest 2 bank box silver score I have ever recorded, or seen for that matter!
In this video, I will share all of my finds with you including all of the Silvers! If you like silver, you'll enjoy this hunt!
PS - I managed to fill ROLLS of silver, as well as... well, just watch the video to see what I found!
I decided to set up the camera and record almost every roll this hunt since it had so many enders! Plus, I needed to save time on editing so I could get this video out to you all in less than 30 minutes... I hope you don't mind the video length and still share in my excitement as we found SILVER, roll after roll after roll!
How are you doing stacking silver? Are you finding 90% or 40% silver in your half dollar boxes? It seems that the Silver is starting to really slow down right now BUT we're almost to "Silver Season" which could start up as early as mid-late October and run through mid-late January... We'll see what happens soon enough!

Rob, talk about a silver score. Congratulations! I had a silver score yesterday at work. Other than the usual wheat pennies, I got a 1943 “S” war nickel. I also had a customer spend a whole bunch of Ike dollars, and mixed in with the Ikes was a 1922 “S” peace dollar in circulated but excellent condition. Of course I grabbed the Ike’s because you do not see them that often these days. I also got a 1906 IHP in change at a convenience store a few days ago. Not kidding!

Let me tell you something Rob, all coins dated 1965, 1966 and 1967 have no mintmark. Even if they were minted in Denver, Philadelphia, or San Francisco, they still did not have any mintmarks.

It would be great to find coins that are worth more than their face value, but I would be happy just to be able to buy non-silver halves or dollars at face value. I am like Scrooge McDuck when it comes to big coins. I hoard them and if I had enough would just swim thru them. I spend money on credit cards like it was water, but nice big coins I can hold in my hand, take an act of God to make me get rid of. Not because of possible higher value, just love the look and feel. Watching you with boxes of them makes me cry in envy.

1- im young an dont have much extra cash laying around. Should i wait to buy a box or ask to maybe buy 20 at a time until i can buy boxes. 3- Also is it not okay to bring a scale into a bank to weigh a roll in front of the clerks and select distinct rolls i want?

So why don't you do all your videos with the tripod but just fast forward through it until you hit a roll that has something in it then just go back to normal speed for that roll that way we can see you open every roll.

Daniel Goble Hey Daniel - thanks for coming by. It’s actually NIFC and it stands for Not Issued For Circulation. All Half Dollars from 2002-present, as well as 1970-D and 1987 are NIFCs. They made them for collectors only do they can carry a little bit of a premium. The 1970-D is silver and carries a very nice price! Hope this helps and thank you for coming by.
