- This song is definitely in my "Top 5 favorite country songs of all-time" list. The beautiful melody and bittersweet story make for a great combination, and helped make this a big hit for Tim McGraw in late 1997/early 1998. It was written by Mark Nesler and Tony Martin, who collectively wrote a number of other great songs together (many of which were also big hits). I hope y'all enjoy my take on this one!

Your hands just flow.on that guitar. I've watched this over and over. I'm trying to understand the chords you're playing up the fret I'm still a beginner when ever it looks like you are scrolling the c chord up the feet then of course the riff I'm trying to learn this exactly like you played it. So perfect. Any tips on guitar ? You seem to have it mastered
