    I have a 2018 exc-f 500. Runs like a champ. Love that bike. What I really like is how they hold there value! Lol. Makes for a good down payment on a 2022. After having one have to stick with Ktm for life.

      100%, the resale value of the KTM's (Especially 350\500 EXC-F Models) is great. I've got a buddy looking for a 350EXC-F himself, but can't find a single one available. In states that are tough to plate, these EXC-F are worth their weight (as low as it is!!!!) in GOLD!!!! Ride on man!

    Most will need Tires, Idler Oil pump gear, Foot Brake lever, Brake Disc guards, better knuckle busters, Skid plate, etc. For $12k w/tax it should come with all of these things stock.

      An absolute Swiss Army Knife of a bike. There's a reason that its impossible to find used ones of these for sale, and the ones that are for sale used are either ridden into the ground, or barely less money than a new one. Happy roosting! 👍

    Thanks for the video! I'm currently riding a 2013 350 XCF-W, which I have LOVED for 7 years. I race A level Enduro and HS, as well as desert and a lot of moto track riding in the summers when it's dusty offroad. The bike has done it all. But it's time for a new steed. I noticed you had a 2013 as well. Could you comment a little more on the differences you've noticed from 2013 to 2019? It's hard for me to imagine a better bike than that 2013.

    • @SBMoto
      @SBMoto  Před 3 lety +4

      Short story comparing 2013 to 2019.....The 2019 is better in every possible way. The bike is lighter and has more power. I had euro map on my 2013, and the 2019 with JD Tuner pulls the stock 14/52 gearing better than the 2013 ever did. The wiring is marginally better, so that's probably the main complaint I still have. I also would say that stock suspension on the 2019 is better than the 2013. I know, this is as controversial as my stance on rekluse 🤣....Most folks will swear these Xplor forks are trash. I can only chuckle at this....but hey, maybe I'm oblivious. There's also the fact that the bike got substantially more narrow between the legs. This is a HUGE improvement to me, especially given that allowed them to go with wider foot pegs, but not run into them clipping deep ruts. They also raised the footpegs up a bit. Some folks take issue with this. I was initially going to get aftermarket pegs to lower it, but am so glad I stuck with my motto of "when in doubt....do nothing". The way the stock setup is is PRIMO for me and how I ride.
      If you're looking NEW, the 2020+ have gotten even lighter, more powerful motor, tidied up wiring, and a handful of other things. These bikes can literally do it ALL.
      Ok, that wasn't so short. And also, even with an LED in the headlight housing, I'll say its woefully inadequate for night time riding over 45mph.

    Ok guys, you got me at “pleased as punch”. Sounds like good MN lingo. I’m looking at getting back on a bike after many years. 61 and 240 lbs and have mainly had street bikes in the past. I hear all this great stuff about the 350 enduro bikes and it peaks my interest. Looking to ride fire trails, forest service roads, and some single track. Is this too much bike for a guy that by the number sounds old but is very young at heart? Several years back, I rode a KTM 250 two stroke and it was pretty hot for me. I have also rode 250 WR and CRFX which I was very comfortable with since the power was much more linear. I would greatly appreciate feedback since I have found a ‘13 EXC-F with 375 miles on it and half the price of new.
    Thoughts?

    • @SBMoto
      @SBMoto  Před 2 lety +2

      I had a 2013 350EXC-F before this 2019 and that bike for me was absolutely amazing as well. Some folks also say that that era of KTM suspension is better than the current offerings too. I put 200+ hours and 6000+ miles on my first 350, which is why I am back on another one now. I made the mistake of buying into the 2T kool-aid and regretted it dearly.
      While I do feel that the power of my 2019 is improved over my 2013, I'd have no issues with getting another 2013 especially at a nice low price. The only mod you'll really want
      eed is a tuner, if the bike doesn't have the euro mapping on it. Otherwise just great bike!

      I'm 185# without gear. I race 30+\Open A. I'm at ~3000+ miles\100+ hours on the bike. And yes, for a bike that can literally do anything, and do it all so well....these 350's are perfect!

  • @bhoop4076

    Have you spent any time on one of the 500s? I live in MN and probably have a lot of similar terrain, especially sand, and I’m just wondering if you have any thoughts on the two different bikes? My main justification for the 500 would be taking trips out west and riding more open, desert terrain or high elevation.

    • @SBMoto
      @SBMoto  Před 3 lety +4

      The last 500 I rode was in 2016 out in Moab. At the time I had a 2013 350 and to put it simply, the 500 had the 350s power from 0 rpm to redline.....but more of it as you got up in the revs. Handling wise they felt the same to me, but it was all the grunt, all the time. My 2019 seems to tap out around mid 80s in the sand, where I'd bet the 500 will keep going. If you love raw power, you won't regret the 500 is my guess.

    • @SBMoto
      @SBMoto  Před 2 lety

      For the 350EXC-F, I believe 3? 2012 - 2016, 2017 - 2019, and 2020+ There may have been a mid generation for 2015-2016, but I'm not sure. Eesh, there might even been something newer now. I keep off the KTM website though, costs me too much to look at it. 🤣🤣

      I believe there’s at least one more earlier series that only says “EXC” on plastics, but is indeed the full street legal/plated enduro. I’m riding a borrowed 2009 450cc now and it’s really really growing on me. so much fun. can’t imagine what the ‘20-23 and now ‘24 generations feel like if the carbureted 2009 is this much fun - and reliable!

    I am totally sold I'm concerned though if I were to get one of these things would I still have the street cred when I go to Starbucks to get my latte. Let's face it it's not a Yamaha tenure Honda Africa or even a BMW GS . In all fairness it is far more attractive than the Kawasaki klr 650 but then again even the south end of the northbound horse looks better than the KLR

    • @SBMoto
      @SBMoto  Před 3 lety

      If you got yourself a Chariot, your only concern is how long you'll be riding a wheelie. Subsequently you'll wonder why rear tires are blown out in a couple rides.
      Best part is you can hop all the curbs at Starbucks when you wanna pose. 🏍️🏍️🔥🔥👍🔥🔥🏍️🏍️

    Do you have any experience riding the 350 EXC-F on an MX track with stock suspension valving? Will this bike work well at non-racing speed? Missing a jump won't break it? This bike will be great for me if it can handle the track. Then I won't need a dedicated MX bike if I don't care about winning races. EDIT: I may also want 14-48 gears & cush-drive if I need lots of riding to get to a track and trail.

    • @SBMoto
      @SBMoto  Před 2 lety +1

      Take a look here: czcams.com/video/qREJ6p4IdMA/video.html This was from a few weekends ago at a local light MX track. Lap of the track starts ~2:30. My bike has 100% stock valving. I do have springs for my weight (180#). I will note that these jumps its easy to over shoot them and you do notice the woods biased suspension. However it's not too bad and really impressive how well it handles it. Very very happy with how this bike handles the wide range. Even with stock gearing (all I'll run on this bike) of 14/52, I'll run all day cruising the highway at 65-70mph. That same gearing will tackle gnarly crap to highway cruising.

      @@SBMoto Thanks for the feedback and the video was a great description of what the 350 EXC-F is capable of! Deserving of its God's Chariot title. I'm on the plus side of 180#, so I'll also need springs. It seems a cush-drive is not needed.

  • @_oroku_3054
    @_oroku_3054 Před 3 lety

    Nice. What's a realistic highway speed on that?

    • @SBMoto
      @SBMoto  Před 3 lety +1

      I'm probably not the best person to respond to this, as I have a very big tolerance to vibes\etc. That noted, I run stock 14/52 gearing for EVERYTHING, and will happily cruise all day at 65mph+ on the bike. In 6th gear, the bike is smooth as silk up to ~40mph. From 40-50mph, there is a heavier vibe in the bars. After 50mph + it smooths out to be very comfortable.
      I will say, many folks I know think they're harming the bikes riding like this. Just cause its revvin a bit, doesn't mean its hurting it. That's my take. 👍👍

      I'm guessing many other reviews may be based on the bike in 100% stock form. That is to say "corked' up. As mine sits (de-corked and JD Tuner), its closer to 43hp. Plenty of giddyup n go.

      @@SBMoto what did you all do to uncork your bike and how much did it cost? Did you have to change any of the settings on the tuner or was it pre loaded? I’m looking at getting this bike but the 2023 model year.

    • @SBMoto
      @SBMoto  Před 2 lety +1

      The only cost I had to uncork my bike was the JD Tuner. I adjusted my settings slightly from the stock, which basically added a little more fuel down low.
