- Cameron Nixon is BACK with another mind-blowing talk about how to forecast the chase with skew-Ts and hodographs. This lesson covers a lot of ground and if you are still a novice to skew-Ts and hodographs there are plenty of lessons (linked below) to get you up to speed.
Also, this lesson is a prequel of sorts to the video Cameron put together for everyone last year about storm photogenic-ness and hodographs.
Be sure to give this a watch and let us know what you think!

Crazy good stuff!
Sure is! Loveeee Cameron's brain and how he's willing to share what's in there with all of us!
Awesome content in this video!! So much stuff learned! Thanks a lot!! Gonna re-watch several times!
I’ve been trying to study the Skew-T chart more actively since I used it to successfully predict and chase a storm last summer in the mountains east of San Jose, CA. Kinda rare here, but CAPE was 810 and there had been a storm in the same area a few days earlier with a CAPE of 660. Thanks for the lesson in meteorology. I now have a deeper understanding of atmospheric dynamics, and have a lot more to gain. I love this science!
currently pursuing a degree in applied meteorology, and THANK YOU. know how to find the LCL, LFC, and EL, but never knew how to completely interpret it! understood that when dewpoint and temp touch you get clouds/precip but that was it lmao
VERY well put together video! Will definitely be listening to more lessons by you. Kept my attention the whole way through, too! :)
I'm beginning to learn. Thank you, your a great teacher.
You are so welcome!
33:55 Wow, mind BLOWN to pieces! Such rotation, and incredibly structured supercell!!! I'm learning a LOT!!! TYSM!!
Cameron is the best!!
He's certainly a good teacher, that's for dang sure!
Man, I learned so much. I'm gonna have to watch it again. Thanks for putting this out there!
Yes. About time this kind of stuff was on the internet.
Glad you enjoyed it! Cameron is an incredible teacher!
for the novice, it would be helpful to explain the charts. What do they depict and from what view.
Excellent video!
Awesome stuff!
Thanks!
Amazing content! I learned something!
Glad to hear it!
@@TornadoTitans Definitely gonna subscribe! What are your thoughts on the upcoming storm season? Do you think it's gonna be pretty active in the plains/midwest this year?
Do you think the Plainfield, IL f5 could be an example of a hybrid tornado?
At 25:27 when you draw the saturated parcel line over the Skew-T plot, why does it not line up with the dashed brown line that was part of the Skew-T plot? Why do they not line up. I've seen multiple videos and read multiple tutorials about Skew-T plots and _none of them_ address this incongruity!
Minnesota/Canadian plain tornadoes seem to be a lot of the hybrids.
I hope the models are better this season...last year was painful
Good evening, I'm from Brazil, congratulations on the channel, I'm alearn of storms análisis, you could tell me where I can find these Grateful Profiles since Now...
Awesome stuff! Is the map with the hodagraphs available somewhere?
Use pivotal weather
What website do you get your skew-t’s from?
Too much jargon for the novic.
