Im pretty sure VIP style originated from Japan too
VIP modifications and their history have often been linked to the Yakuza. By using JDM cars with modifications associated with limousines, gangsters could avoid detection by the police and rival gangs.
Both Osaka street racers and Kanto-area bōsōzoku gangs adopted styles in different ways. Osaka street racers, after suffering numerous police crackdowns on the Hanshin Expressway in the early 1990s, turned to sedans, after police targeted sport compacts, as a way to cruise while remaining incognito. The bōsōzoku in Kanto took a somewhat different approach by modifying sedans with cut coils and mufflers. The resulting cars were often bold and loud and known as "Yankee Style". Their styling cues were actually taken from Super Silhouette race cars of the 1970s and 1980s. They also drove recklessly, such as causing traffic jams and avoiding paying tolls. To mimic their Yakuza counterparts, they used large black sedans.
I was thinking the same thing but seems like Thailand VIP style is much flashier - with neon lights and screens everwhere. Kind of like mix of more subtle Japan's VIP style and early 2000's European eXtreme tuning style with all the craziness.
@@Mart77 true, but japan does the Actual VIP style. its all about subtlety
@@KoenigFPS True, but nothing subtle going on in these cars that were shown here
@@Mart77 tbh they dont look like VIP cars at all (thailand VIP style). They just look like your standard flashy stanced camry at your local car meet
🤓
You definitely need another video with the Dekotoras, also Australian burnout competition cars, rat rods in the U.S. and that South American country with the crazy buses
You mean Bolivia?
@@TheRambossss Yes, also the Philippines have something similiar with the Jeepneys.
Great episode, superfun to learn how creative people can be with their rides! I love tattoo-style painted cars (Claudia De Sabe did an amazing Lexus, Betsabeé Romero et al did a VW, etc)...and also car tattoos on people!🎨😊
Great research. Gusheshe will always be a classic car of South Africa
Indeed 🔥💖👌
Imoto yezigebengu
💜💙💚💛🧡❤VIP style😁
Its really rad seeing a video like this thats not taking jabs at or satirical commentary on different car styles/cultures, but just a well to do, open talk about them.
Raggare is very popular as well in Finland, every long drive you go for, you will see one!
I wish she included Dekotora trucks from Japan and Pakistan, hope there's a part 2
Jingle trucks of asia ❤
You know what. I was expecting some cringy watchmojo style video... but I actually enjoyed this!
Also, everytime I hear VIP cars, I'm thinking more about the japanese bippu style, where the cars used are mostly sedans that are black, gray or white, lowered with air bags and on tucked in, polished or brushed silver/chrome wheels. Didn't know Thailand's take on VIP is the polar opposite.
Now I do want to know more about the other styles you mentioned
These a ricer cars. They aren't good at all
@@QuietHusband Buddy, I phased over the ricer calling stuff. I learned how appreciate different car cultures.
In other words. Grow up and stop being so close minded.
@@QuietHusband 🤓🤓🤓
@@dion1677 the emoji makes literally no sense in this situation
Most bippu cars in japan are static, not on bags
I think the classic car culture in Cuba was born out of necessity from the US embargo to Cuba, rather than Castro banning north american cars and goods.
I just love Classic cars more than supercars 🙏 vintage is love 🌻💛
and?
Which is your favorite car style from the list people? 🤔
THE NEON LIGHTS ONE IS SO COOL
Bosozoku
The Supercars in UAE the beautiful Tiffany blue Mercedes Benz G-Wagon 😍❤️ Love it! 💖💖 Love you baby Supercar Blondie 💖💖
Cuba
The Supercars in UAE , the beautiful Tiffany Mercedes benz G-Wagon 😍💖💋Love it! 💖💖Love you baby Supercar blondie♥️♥️💋💋
I enjoyed this vid...💖
I'm from South Africa and glad that our car culture was in the vid🔥🔥🔥
King Katra🔥👌best spinner ever in my opinion🔥💖✌️
Nice content, I'll follow you wherever you go. Love from Nigeria 🇳🇬
I like the Bozuku culture. It amazed me at first sight and I fell in love instantly with the culture. Thanks for telling me because they just inspired a new project car to make. Good work fellows!
Just look into it a bit more and don't just follow what you saw here it goes way deeper.
here in brazil we have some diferent cultures, like the rebaixados, that translate into some extreme low cars with big wheels, we have the xuning cars or carro de bahiano, that are cars with extreme visual modifications that come from the early 2000 years, we have the arqueados culture, that are a culture of trucks or even cars with the rear lift and the front lowered, and another various cultures that i not mentioned.
Or carro de baiano ksksks
Or carro de bahiano kkkkkkkkkkkkksjsjjjkkkkkkkkk pqp
Not old BMW, it's Gusheshe 🔥🔥🔥🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
This was great.
I love how accurate her research is!! Great job👍👍👍👍👍
Its shit tho?
Never knew about any of these, love it.
Definitely need a part 2.
lol those kaido racer kits are anything but aerodynamic looking, however, u got donks right so bonus points there!
I love this channel already
My favourites are bosozoku and classics
There are vip style cars in japan as well.
I'm sure its originated from Japan.
That was very enjoyable to watch
im italian, and i love italian 70s/80s/90s rally car (street legal) culture
🔥🤘🏽✌🏽🥰 love the channel, love the video, learned so much, and felt proud of my chicano heritage at the same time. Who was that one cool person with that pristine Tiffany Brabus? Ha ha ha I think everyone would love to see the Mud Drag racing of South Texas. Its exactly what you’d imagine.
normally when a third party tries to cover car culture like this, they get terminology wrong, their information is well outdated or just wrong all together. this was well done!
Agreed, except for her pronunciation of the word "gauges"
Loved all of them. Now do a video on the car cultures you mentioned at the end. And dont forget the EPA car culture in sweden
Please 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Love the bosozoku cars in japan! So different that you cant hate then
The Matatu culture in Kenya is crazy! Y'all should give it a look.
Cool! Downloaded))
1:20 "Minus the gang lifestyle of course"... Bhahahahahahah! Good one! 👍
please x 1000000 times please make more videos like this with mix car cultures
I love your videos
I loved the supercars ..... 💯💯 ...... Plus u Also left one culture in Kenya 🇰🇪 known as Matatu Culture hope u will put it in ur next episode
Matatu culture is fireee bro
In guyana, Trinidad, Jamaica, Barbados and a couple of others in the carribean. Mostly left lane driving countries, they have a bit of a knack for customizing vehicles, mainly Toyota hiaces inported overseas from japan, and sometimes regular cars with underside neons, lights, designs, custom rims ect. These cultures have been around since the early 1970s in the carribean and still linger with the new vehicles that come around.
Whaaat i need a part 2 of more
in Brazil, some of the tuners usually put suspension to make the car low as they can,and install a sound sistem, normally waking up people at 5:00 am
They cut out the springs or completely alter the body/frame of the car. Brazilian car culture is cool, only country that mods new cars well
Yo soy cubano y el estar viendo q cuba sale en un top de autos me hace estar orgulloso por lo menos de algo de mi país
Beautiful
00:00 SOUTH AFRICA BETTER BE IN THIS VIDEO OTHERWISE 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🌍🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
04:40 NOW WE TALKING!!!🌍🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 THIS IS WHY I LOVE SUPERCAR BLONDIE & HER EMPLOYEE'S WORK THANK YALLZ FOR THIS🌍🇿🇦
07:00 THE NXGGA NXGGA SONG PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND AISH!!!
Could you also check out kenya's matatu/matwana culture in a part 2? 👌
Nice video, now you gotta do one involving drag racing and wheelies
You should visit THEE MATATU CULTURE in Kenya..... You will be shocked and amazed
VIP STYLE Culture is from start from Japan... Not Thailand
Este video es lo más interesante que he visto en todo el mes
so cool
🔥 video
If I were a millionaire, I would love to be apart of the supercar culture in Dubai UAE. This was a great video. Thanks.
The bosozoku took Inspiration from racing, not the other way around
I wish we talked more about the tron cars and the other ones from japan that you mentioned at the end
😉😉You should really make another part of this kinda video to include more car cultures and cause you missed a lot.
For example, in Iraq there are lots of different cars cultures but one of them this turning new cars into classic, clean and really attractive cars such as Peugeot 405 or Elantra or even more cars.
Also this video was amazing 👍👍👍👍👍👍
The Bosozoku-style can be divided in several sub-divisions
I would call the cars featured Kaido racers
You should look at "amisautot" from finland, quite funny.
I love the spinning because I'm m from south Africa and the BMW written katra is my brothers and he is called the king of spin in Africa
In Brazil there is a culture called "carros de baiano" translated to english baiano's cars
KKKKKKKKKKKKKKK Pô, mas os projetos gringos são daoras, a diferença é que no Brasil é abaixo custo. Não entendo pq a galera implica com esse tipo de projeto
And they all amazing 😍🔥
Great video would love to see kenyan matatu culture 🇰🇪
8:48 there is finland's flag👏
Bosozoku will always be my favorite. Reminds me of cyberpunk cars and Japan has the coolest culture imo
they all have something super unique in their own way
Nice video. It would be nice to desrcibe dekoratas in japan and the tron in china and the raggare a bit more. Maybe in another video 👍🏼👍🏼. It would be nice because i am actually a raggare
I grew up around 90s mini truck lowrider culture. For me that's where it's at!
nice
I love those Donks being that I'm originally from Miami Florida. I remember when the culture was just starting with these cars and their big rims in the late 90s.
🔝CONGRATULATIONS YOU’VE BEEN AMONG TODAY’S WlNNER 🎁DM🔝🔝🔝👆AND CLAIM YOUR PRIZE 💯💯📋📦📫📩🔝
Gusheshe bmw e30 culture South Africa 🔥🔥
Очень хорошее видео , круто . Шикарно .
Bosozoku and Lowrider are my dream cars.
Classics are where its at! 😁
Nice video and some brilliant cars and scenes. I wouldn't include the supercars of the UAE, though. To me this is not a culture. It's just boasting with you money and having other people do some work for you. For the others it's more about taking pride in building and ever perfecting them, keeping them on the roads or testing what's possible. It's certainly just my own opinion but Dubai is neither elegant nor shows it craftsmanship like the others do, its just throwing money at cars.
poor areas on brazil have so many sleepers
lower and throw thin exaggerated wheels at everything, the most popular cars are vw golf, chevy celta, corsa, old civics, all of the 2008's hatchbacks.
there are some new civics too but they are from medium - rich areas.
I wouldn't call those sleepers. I just call them rice.
Awesome and unique Donks or impala. The stunning cars around the world baby Supercar Blondie, 🤩😍❤️❤️ Love you Baby 💖💖 Massive ❤️💖 muah 💋💋 God Bless 🙏👼🌻🌻💕💕 but you need to take extra care of racing.. it's so Scary, we have only one life. 👍🙏👼🔥🔥💗💗
2:30 "funky gorges" - ya mean gauges ya 5er hired narrator!!
Donk is an amazing Culture,Loved the Lowriders.🤯💲💯👌
My favs are Supercars and Lowriders ❤❤
Japan saw a Donk and said okay we see your Slab!
H-Town (Houston) SLABs. Slow, Loud, and Bangin' mayne!
SuperFly is another style, usually applied to 1970s american luxury cars specifically Cadillacs though lincoln, Chrysler, Buick, Oldsmobile, Imperial, etc are also used. First imagined by Les Dunham of Dunham Coach for a client in NYC who wanted something flashy for street cred. Soon Dunham Coach was overwhelmed with new customers looking for that look. Popular with Pimps, the cars saw much publicity in films such as SuperFly (1972) and 007: Live and let Die (1973). Usually consisting of at minimum: chrome headlight lenses, a waterfall rolls-royce style grille, padded vinyl roof, and continental kit, most cars would have more flourish such as leopard prints, sidepipe exhaust, chrome spears, curb feelers, fender-mounted spare tires, faux fur interiors, custom shaped opera windows, bright and metalflaked paintjobs, etc.
Lowrider X Thailand culture, just hot!!!🔥🔥
1:38 whats the soundtrack from thailand vip style cars?
"Raggare in Sweden" meanwhile a finnish car rolls by.
JDM car culture is awesome as well.
I think Xzibit would approve of the VIP cars
Well If we are going to do the South Florida Donk and the LA Low riders, we left off the Houston swingers and Carolina Squat.
Australia's car culture.
As im an Aussie citizen i know a bunch about the culture. Like old tough Aussie cars to VNs popping burnouts, Are car culture is to have fun and make your older car look as tough as possible.
I love custom American cars!!
Greetings from Japan🇯🇵
Xuning brasileiro é uma das melhores tunagens do mundo
I love lowriders from USA😍
Here in Brazil we have low cars with rim wheel 20 and customization of Goiás car with full sound
To do all those vip mods would cost more than the luxury cars they can't afford lol, the interiors alone are big bucks, applaud the effort and time to do all those mods
and somehow they all come together right outside my apartment when i'm trying to sleep
Favorite "car culture": timeattack
The crazy aero on these things is somewhere between silly, over the top and the coolest thing ever.
Make a part to about the cars at the end
8:42 clean af
Didn't mention the RatRod scene.
The car culture I love the most are the American Muscle Cars for one reason or another.
This looks like something straight out of Cars 3
OMG! First time i actualy see us raggares get recognized as an car culture from another country than our own!
the second one tailand in the uk it is called max power
