    Stuff we use:
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq

Yes, something like that did happen. I fell in love with writing eventhough it seemed and still seems like an impossible task

In the recent book LAST ACTION HEROES there is a very amusing story about how Chuck Norris was running an acting school (Yeah, I know...) and one of his early students was a young Jessica Simpson. According to her Chuck was trying to get her to move her face less and not be so expressive.
As his prime example of the effectiveness of this technique Chuck cited the apparent fact that Denzel Washington never moves his eyebrows, no matter what the tone of the line is.
Now I can't confirm whether it is true or not that Denzel never moves his eyebrows. I just thought it was really funny and worth repeating here.

Many trained and experienced actors take notes and aren’t annoying either. In fact, Denzel Washington was trained.

What she has to say about film and TV is insightful, about how film allows the actor to exist in the character while TV is mostly about getting a story point across. I think this is something certain directors and actors bring to their work, which probably involves discussions about the character and rehearsals, etc. The type of stuff that a TV movie or show will not allow time for.

As someone who works in the entertainment industry for a union, a lot of performers are annoying to speak with - with the exception of voice actors from what I've seen (and I've been told by a producer that its crucial for voice actors to be someone enjoyable to work with) so its really no wonder that the performers I engage with cannot get any work. If you're hard to work with, what do you expect? Opportunities will go past you if you bring the kind of energy that makes everyone's life difficult including the producer, staff, costars, etc.

I disagree with what she said about tv. It's not just "here's the story. Here's the commercial. Bye." Go back to a show like ER when it was going strong. The acting was not lessened. If it had been, the show wouldn't have been so popular.

Traditional television has to be more structured to accommodate the advertising schedule, but yes, there is some Great tv that works within the parameters.

Sliding Doors in real life! Working with a Great like Denzel was just one step on her journey. People like Sheila have a vibrancy about them which means they cannot fail to succeed.
