could you use richard skinny as an intro joke pretty please
Think you should stop including yourself in gameplay shots it’s annoying af
@@kb-gj9lf shut up, our boy dribbling tip is a joy to watch
@@CoralCopperHead you're almost through the tunnel bro it will get better i promise. i used to feel like he was mocking me when he said it, but it's like he says: no feeling is final.
I think the hotel butt slap should be renamed to ho slap
My favorite part of this game is if you have already beaten it once, when you get to the final showdown with Eric on a second playthrough your character just punches him in the face and takes the tape instead. It's awesome
Glad there's more than one of us that got that satisfaction.
And you can even do that on the very easy difficulty, the only condition is a second playthrough!
Sadly, this means you have do some extra menuing for every single reset
Yeah, I got this on my first playthrough since the only requirement on the PS2 was a completed save and my brother had already finished the game on the same memory card. I got the satisfaction of skipping the crap and smashing his teeth in without a second playthrough
@@migueeeelet did that recently lol. made sick easier
This was somehow one of the most convuluted and fast paced speedrun yet
watch the portal one, then come back and edit the comment, or dont
(unless you watched that already then youre chill)
It's segmented, so each individual section is replayed until the runner is satisfied.

Your mix of crass humor, genuine interest in the stories and characters of the games you talk about, dense information, and mental health awareness is fuckin evergreen and I am so thankful for you. You rock
sorry i ruined your 69 likes
fuck the cringe mental health bullshit
just leave it for the end of the video

@@BroudbrunMusicMerge Hold on, I'm on the toilet. I'll get back to you
Every time you go through the "no feeling is final" speech in an episode, I think back to the last time I've heard you say that in the previous episode, and the words always ring true. There is always another day, and another chance for things to go right. Thank you.
i used to think they were annoying because i just didnt agree, but as things seem worse with every new video, the message starts to hit harder. one can only hope things do get better one day
how long must we suffer
First time I heard it I was going thru it pretty bad and I did one of those smile and tear ups
This message hits even harder when you know people close to you felt so bad and hopeless
@@kaiserruhsam does it matter? the answer will never satisfy. just remember to cherish moments of respite.
11:02 I was not prepared for how insane that CATBAG was gonna be lmao
Let's see Bob Burnquist do that 😂
@17:43 you have no idea how happy it makes me to see a speedrunner trip Eric just like I did every playthrough after the first.
I'm not sure how to describe the feeling that these videos make me feel but it's a good one and it gives me something to focus on and calm down from anxiety. Also, this game was a large part of my childhood and this is just mindblowing to watch.
😌💓
Seeing a game I run covered here is a surreal feeling. I'm still shocked how much optimization runners like Shnazz are able to squeeze out of literally every second of the run. Tony games have some of the highest actions per minute of any speedgame and they're fun as hell to run at any skill level.
I'm currently watching this speedrun in-between calls at my job, which I really don't like. I just got off a call with a particular AH customer, and I was feeling really bad. I then came back to this at 16:30. I really needed to hear that right now, and it really made my day. Things will get better with time. Thank you.
Holy crap was I not expecting that in the middle of a speedrun. I am currently out of a job. Thanks for the timestamp.
"No feeling is final" is just so awesome! It earned my sub the first time I heard it a few weeks ago, and to keep hearing it is amazing. As someone who's starting to come up after a long and difficult time in my life, I can't even put into words how much I (and most people probably) really appreciate it. Even the little bit of acknowledgement you give, and the genuine tone you present it in is enough to save a life. The fact that you take the time to do this is amazing, please keep it up!
@@CoralCopperHead While it’s true that some problems may outlast any human life span, it’s highly unlikely that you will feel equally bad about it through the span of 100 years. Maybe the problem isn’t temporary and maybe the feeling is persistent; but like everything in life there will be ups and downs. The thing that is temporary is the crushing feeling that you are being strangled; that you have no other option, that it’s the only way out. That is temporary;
Fantastic runthrough as always, mate! Thanks for all you do, and looking forward to what more there is in store!
I used to watch these videos and never thought much about the part where you say "however you're feeling it's okay", but since my love left after 13yrs it makes me cry so hard now. I hope you're right that this feeling isn't final because this pain seems absolutely never-ending
Josh, I've had my love leave me after being together for 6 years. I understand your pain, but let me tell you that it will get better no matter how much it hurts. As the days go on, you will start feeling better. Keep your head high, brother!
His words hits very deep. Just know that one day you are going to hear them again and you will look back at now and think at how strong the feeling you had was, and how much you have overcome to lessen that weight and be happy again. I know you can do it
@@stroudt17 I hope you're right. It has been three months since it's happened and I am still getting physically sick over it every day
It gets easier over time. It will be confusing and frustrating for a while. 13 years is a lot to unpack. Little by little you will get there.
Oh dude that sucks, I wish you the best of luck and good fortune for the years ahead! It’ll all be alright!
Played all the Tony Hawks games religiously as a teen, put a few thousand hours into them for sure, they had (and likely still have) such a small but passionate community. This takes me right back to those golden years - and what a great run by shnazz. Thanks papa
I’m gonna be honest, I’m at a low right now and those inspirational little segments literally make my day every single time and I always end up watching one of your videos every day just so someone says smth like that to me. It’s probably sad but honestly you’re saving my life man. I’m sure you won’t see this but it’s really great how you’re always caring with those little segments.
the fact this was a 42min vid and it felt like it was 20 minutes is crazy good job tomato and shnazz
Never clicked on a video so fast before. Man this game was big for me as a kid.
Bro I just busted out my ps2 and played through the game the other day!
you've got a killer vibe in these vids and the way you brake down the info while also staying witty is fantastic. You're a cool guy, thank you!
Man. I haven't watched one of your videos in a long time. I had a really miserable day today, saw this and thought it'd be a nice break from being constantly overworked and then bombarded with bad news. I got about halfway through your "no feeling is final" monologue and almost burst into tears. I had to go lay down for about an hour or so to help center myself. Thanks for helping me keep my head on straight tonight.
Great video, by the way!
Holy shit I never thought you'd cover this game. Thank you ❤❤❤
no prob, did it just for you

Hey man, I just wanted to say I really appreciated what you had to say about feelings not being final in that Tampa competition run. Kind of needed to hear it today. Subscribed and look forward to watching more from you.
Absolutely love THUG! tried speedrunning it a few years ago and I'm nowhere near this kind of pace but enjoyed learning the tech and history behind speedrunning in the series, such a great community. Amazing video and love your humour
I have no clue what’s going on
Me neither 😅
Same😂😂😂 but I’m sticking it out
Lol, as a skater through the late 90s to the mid 2010s, I thought to myself “I wonder what people who don’t skate can follow everything dude is saying?!”

Always love a tomatoanus vid, especially after a rough day. Thanks man!
I love your inspirational speeches in the videos. Im having a rough time right now in my life and youre so right about what you say. Just found your channel recently and i love it all. You rock brother. Keep it up man
This is extremely impressive. As someone who just played Thug 1, Thug 2 and American Wasteland, shnazz is completely cracked at the game
Eric truly was the greatest of my childhood villains
Tomato this run was insane. Huge thanks to you and shnazz for putting this together.
I've been a long time viewer but this is the first time your mental health speech got to me. I've been going through some shit lately and this is the first vid of yours I've seen in a while. Thanks my guy.
Funny how you didn't mention anything about the normal boneless, which is a special jump that grants extra height and distance (useful for doing a trick like Judo for points). It also raises the combo counter, so it's a no-brainer to use in pretty much anywhere (in some spots Shnazz uses No Comply which is similar without speed/height boosts, to land and proceed with the mission sooner).
Might as well mention that rotation (the 180s) add to the score, so overall: Boneless + 180º + Judo = ez early fat points.
Then again, the question is how many THUG mechanics we want to explain lol. If anyone has questions I'm happy to answer those.
"A pig catfishing the biggest goat I've ever seen"

It's crazy watching a speedrun for a game I haven't played in 20 years and remembering it all. I'm so old. Great video.
you are my favorite content creator, your message in all your videos about emotions being temporary really has helped me in the past and right now. thank you for all the laughs keep up the good work.
I found out my friend died this morning, Tommy. But that flip at 11:05 was fucking crazy
On the chance this isn't a joke, genuinely sorry for your loss. It may hurt a lot now, but it's from a place of love for your friend, and eventually that hurt will give way to that love.
This game is... just, beautiful. There's SO much good about the game, and I genuinely have no complaints about it or its direct sequel
Speed Runners are built different and I have no clue how they can pull off such complicated runs so efficiently.
I appreciate the mental health bit in this video. My cat is going through some health stuff and I’m afraid I will have to say goodbye if things don’t improve. After work I find myself going down a stress hole on the verge of tears. My animals are my family, so I’ve always taken the end really hard.
First time watching you and it’s amazing lol I love you. Knowledgeable, funny, entertaining, and the fact that you threw in the speech about how if anyone’s not doing well that no feeling is final and there’s always hope no matter what, I didn’t need it at this specific time but recently I went through something like that and it’s great to see you spread that cuz ya never know when someone somewhere needs to hear that and it could literally save someone’s life and it’s so simple yet so powerful and appreciated thank you for doing that for people that’s amazing bro
The Tony Hawk's Underground series were probably the first games I ever played. Such great memories
Thanks for all the research and work behind theses vids man ! Keep up the great work :D
"no feeling is final" that line is wild considering i was here for a speedrun and got a pep talk. wow, well put and thanks for that. 16:26
Love me some new tomatoanus content! Keep it coming for forever please I am addicted to speedrunning explanation videos now.
Just came across your channel and this video! Your "No Feeling is Final" speech really made me emotional. Sometimes you just don't know when you need to hear that stuff. It wasn't just some canned generic mental health spiel, but a genuine message to your viewers. Seriously thanks again, it brightened my day and broke me from dwelling on shit I can't change.
Been meaning to thank you... shit yeah this feel weird... Thank you Anus... Tomato...
Seriously thank you! I as many others have struggled, am struggling with depression. I have during the past two years been watching your uploads and every time you hope for us having had an "above average day" it actually helps (me). I feel that there is a weird weird person out there that just cares. Also you being good at this shit also helps with coming back for that little "boost".
Thanks again Tomato? Anus? Mr Anus?
doesn't matter what game it is i always immediately click on your notifs whenever they come up. you are so genuine and fun to listen to and i hope you have an above average day. much love
Merry Christmas and thanks for that message during Tampa... i needed that.

this video was so well put together and thank you for reminding me to be mindful of my mental health wins. You rock, Tomatoanus. You've definitely made a new sub out of me
I thought you were about to read an ad but you ended up making me feel better about myself, in a tony hawk speedrun explained video. I wasn’t expecting that lol, regardless cheers for that one
Dude thank you for bringing this game back into my world.
This is so good! Love to see this speedrun of one of my childhood favorites :D The explanations are actually way more interesting than I would have imagined
Really needed to hear the message on 17:42, I've always suffered with GAD, thank you so much

just stumbled across this video and I love your style, definitely gonna be watching more
The fact I grew up with this game and get to enjoy content like this in my 20s makes me think life is worth living
17:25 I was fully expecting this monologue to end with "unless you're Eric Sparrow, in which case you _deserve_ pain"

Thank you for these, love them so much!
Thank you for your comment of help I've been to the point of ending myself at least 5 times in my life and the next year. I go back to that of the previous year when I felt of that and I see in my space and I tend to always find a more joy than the depression because for some reason back then when I was gonna end it. I had something my future self needed.
i've had quite a few to drink tonight and that intro had me questioning life for a solid 5 minutes.
This popped up in my recommended and I am not mad. Defo subbed!
Randomly stumbled upon this video and was surprised about your talk about mental health around the 16 minute mark after a week of me having rough mentals.
Thanks for the reminders tomatoanus
