I just love to see how much you have grown and continue to give and support the quilting community. And I adore that you , Stephanie and Yvette have all come together not only as friends but to support and help each other with each of your own individual goals and interest! Your amazing Becca and I enjoy the channel and all your different forms of communication and sharing! Hugs girl 🥰😘
I am so glad to see you open another box I absolutely love love love your box openings I love your spirit that you put into it it makes it so fun to see your whole personality Becca! That is beautiful fabric that you got this month no doubt! I hope to see you opening more boxes soon because you always make me smile sending hugs
Becca~ you just make me smile! 😄 Got mine yesterday and am hoping to steal some time to sew up a square table runner in this next week. I’m looking forward to trying the square in a square foundation paper. Thanks for getting me even more excited! PS. I subscribe to the Sweetwater Label Club as well and just love them. Not sure I would use the labels that came in the box either, but they really are so darn cute. Happy Weekend everyone! ❤️ 🧵 🪡
Great unboxing Becca. I received my box yesterday. It’s always fun to see what’s inside and especially the fabric. There is a finishing kit for the pattern at FQS with notify me when available. Every day I look at the Bright Side kit but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Hmmm...will have to think about it. See you next time.
I love this box! I liked everything in it! I am glad Sherri McConnell is designing the quilt this year. I like her work. I, too, have not made any of the BOMs. I did buy the kit for the one the year before last towards the end, so didn’t get it done. Maybe I will try to do it this year!
After 5 years of watching Yvette, and now you, open this box, I pulled the trigger and subscribed. Lol! Love the fabric! Love the 3" SNS. Love the coupons...lol!
I love to paper piece when it's easy for me to cut the fabric - and these little paper pads make it very easy. It's a few pieces without much guess work!
Becca I too love getting my sew sampler box. As you know some months are more appealing than others. I am excited about the new BOM and hope to finally do it! This year! Lol I am not a strawberry fabric lover like you and I would be happy to send you my fabric piece.. Let me know! Mary
Awww, Mary - that's very kind of you! Part of me wants to scream YES SEND ME THE FABRIC - but the other, more practical part, knows I have enough - especially with the Sunday Stroll kit I ordered from Steph. :) I hope you do the BOM this year - I'm waiting on my quilt kit...and when I get it, I plan to post videos each month!
Love the Sunday Stroll fabric. The canvas bag will be very useful and the foundation paper should be fun to work with. Love your videos. I also agree that you, Yvette and Stephanie make a great team!
Thanks for subscribing, Vidhya! I'm excited about the sew-a-long, too - and I plan to do videos each month showing you how I put my block together!! Keep your eyes peeled for that!
This is my first ever quilt box and got this Thursday... I am new to quilting and starting to aquire fabric, patterns and notions. How do you store your pamplet patterns and you index card patterns? I don't want my new obsession with quilting to get out of control or all get shoved in a drawer. Suggestions are helpful 😉☺️
You know, that'd make for a GREAT video! So, I keep my patterns in one of two binder styles. For the pamphlet ones (like the ones we get in SS), I put them in 8.5" x 5.5" sheet protectors, and put those sheet protectors in mini binders, I have so many that I've taken to having a full binder JUST for the SS patterns we get, another for my favorite pattern authors (Corey Yoder, Lella Boutique), and another for Misc. Then, I have a full size binder with 8.5" x 11" sheet protectors that I put printed out copies of my Foundation Paper Piece patterns here. If I buy a PDF pattern, I don't print them ALL out, but for FPP I do because I need the papers. :) I print the pattern & template and put them all together in a sheet protector. I use that ONE template to make as many copies as I need (since it's the original) which allows me to do FPP anywhere I go without having to worry about being able to dig out the PDF and print more copies
@@sewbecca I've been throwing all of my patterns in old subscription boxes because I couldn't figure out how I wanted them stored. Would you mind doing a video on this and maybe even how you store your scrap fabrics. I know this is so very shameful but I when I moved into my new home I threw out most of my scraps. They take up so much room. I don't know what to do with them. Thank you for everything, your cheerfulness, your giggles, and most of all your expertise ❤
@@KerryFP Can do! As for scraps - I'll admit I don't really save them...for me, anyway. I fold up my larger scraps and then place them in a flat rate padded envelope. When it's stuffed, I sell it in my Etsy shop (or, maybe I'll fill a box and send it to Tiff). I do ocassionally like to do some tiny piecing, but that's even done with yardage or pre-cuts. :( I owe the channel a good sewing room tour - this might be something I can put in that video!
@@sewbecca Yes I have found that a lot of people do this with the cards...time to place another order with Amazon! lol that way I can be ready to collect all the BOM's each month and have a place to put them. Thanks for sharing your box and your tips.
Love watching your unboxings. You're so positive and uplifting. Since I had to cancel the box I'm excited to see what they have sent out. Thank you so much.
I love my sew sampler box for this month. Debating doing the monthly quilt from Stash. I have several fat quarter bundles and would only need to order background fabric. I also love sweetwater labels.
Oooh! Ok, so there are three that I'd recommend. (1) Hollin Hall Shopping Center: I just think this place is cute because it's got that old school variety store feel - complete with a fabric department. Not a huge selection, but kind of fun! (2) Fabric Place Basement: Lots of fabric for a great price - and it's in Alexandria (3) The Quilter's Studio: My local quilt store (if you stop in, tell Kathye I said hi!). This is probably the farthest from where you're staying, but it's worth a trip.
Nope. But, you can buy the quilt kit. And the card just tells you what to cut from each of your fabrics. I did buy the kit - and plan to do videos on the block each month. When I get the fabric, I'll do the first video and cover how much fabric the kit really gives you.

Question about sew along, do you get told what the fabric requirements are at the start of the sew along if I don’t like the colors?
