    9:51 mic the vegan had a flavanoid chart - Tea, Blueberries, chocolate, Oranges, Oregano, Bilberry, Capers, parsley, black currant, Carob, Cowpeas, elderberry, Lemons, strawberry. Tea beat out the rest by a lot, but you're really right about blueberries and strawberries. The thing is that citrus - if lumped together - would be pretty high up as well. The issue is the caffeinated foods have lots of flavanoids - so if you redid it - take out the tea and chocolate - for blueberries to be at the top. I guess you can lump blueberry with bilberry and it would be high, followed by citrus. So I'd recommend a lot of citrus too - it keeps diseases away. Berries is another high category, but greens are also there - like parsley.

    As an older person, it is mind blowing to see how the presentation of information is becoming more and more condensed, and unfortunately, people's attention spans are shrinking with that trend. You've got a great channel John, very informative, it's helped me, and I'm sure many others. Unfortunately, some folks will get lost in the trends, maybe realize it later, or never. I just think, we should try to be careful using words like misinformation, and saying things like, "gotta cancel this guy" because they said something we don't agree with, even if it may lead people in the wrong direction. We all learn through making mistakes, or listening to the wrong advice, and then we find out as we go, what is right, but to try and stop a person saying wrong things by talking about canceling them is censorship. That is exactly what mainstream narratives are pushing, and I don't see you as a person following mainstream directives or narratives..Only saying this because I never heard you get rapped up in the "trends" like that. You do your thing, and let the folks who are making mistakes, find their way...they will eventually. Always appreciate your channel. :)

    If you only focus on nutrients, you'll miss the most important benefits of fruit and fasting. Fruits and fasting open elimination pathways which minimizes degeneration by removing acids. This is how you can reverse pretty much every chronic and seasonal disease that modern medicine handles so poorly. Other vegetation sources are great for regeneration, but will be needed much less frequently if you predominantly consume cleansing fruits.
    I felt great after being raw vegan for years, but I needed up to a gallon of veggie juice per day to really feel my best. Also I still tested positive for 5 autoimmune diseases, and developed a cancerous mole. Then I spent 8 weeks consuming only grapes, and followed that with a 21 day water fast. And all of my incurable diseases were gone, and the mole was absorbed. That's because these were diseases of overconsumption rather than dietary deficiency. So the solution was decongestion rather than nutrition. This is a paradigm change that many people will not accept because it's painful to change a belief system, but that problem is psychological rather than physiological. Perhaps veggies would gradually lead to the same place over many years, but people with end-stage diseases cannot wait. I think this is why the Gerson Therapy often fails, and also why raw vegans sometimes get seasonal sicknesses.
    Now I try to spend 1-2 months on 100% fruit a few times per year. Then I spend about a week on veggie juices every couple of months, perhaps 16oz/day. I've been joined by freinds/family with end-stage conditions (cancers, parkinsons, ms, etc), and so far they've all recovered. The durations of cleansing and rebuilding are based on what feels most appealing, because only the body knows what it needs. I also think many people give up on juicing within 5-10 years, so this may be a more sustainable long-term diet.

      Your points are valid. But there are also people who experience continous and fast healing on diets very high in greens and cruciferous veggies. Like in Dr Brooke Goldners rapid recovery program. People in her group get fast results healing from severe autoimmune disease. So that makes me think that there's not only one way to healing. I'm on a high fruit diet myself and open minded about different opinions.

      Yes, I agree-with one exception- 'acidic' does not necessarily mean 'bad' and neither does 'alkaline' automatically mean 'good'. Just think about the following- ammonia and cyanide, two very dangerous toxins commonly made by pathogens (clostridia, pseudomonas, fungi, etc) in the human gut, are both very alkaline. Ammonia is a major problem in liver/kidney disease. And so, when cleansing, we have to cleanse the body from both strong acids and strong alkali. It is not the pH per se, it is the degree of deviation from neutral pH that is troublesome. Light acids and light alkali are generally ok. The normal pH of the body is neutral- neither alkaline, nor acid, and it needs to stay that way if true health is our ultimate goal.

    • @peterjsmith5918
      @peterjsmith5918 Před rokem +3

      @@anastasiailieva7800 This has almost nothing to do with stomach acids or the pH of ingested food. It can go in the other direction to regulate blood pH, but that would be a separate issue.
      Metabolic waste is always acidic whether from diet or activities, so the ability to remove acids is always healthy. That's why these foods should be referred to as alkaline-forming, rather than just alkaline. It's because they improve organs that assist in this process.
      And for most people it's about not ingesting foods that congest these pathways. That's what makes fasting and cleanses so effective, because most people are continuously dealing with the effects of over-consumption.

    And frozen fruits can sometimes even be better since they may be frozen at their ripe stage vs you getting something that's been picked too early sold at the grocery store. So, I think that's a healthier solution for city folks that may not have access to fresh fruit for sure.

    I eat a lot of cooked beans as I cook them up from dry and as woman in menopause, the benefit of soybean cannot be under estimated. Got some new information on chickpeas. Will be trying that too. Beans brought my blood pressure down. I do eat a lot of raw, mostly fruits I eat raw. I am always learning and that is a good way to be. Eat raw salads of course.
    My husband went vegan with me after his cancer, and yet, he likes the taste of traditional foods. To keep him in the land of the living, I do not always eat what he eats as being healthy is important to me. He’s never been in a wheelchair, but I have. He uses the faux meats but I do not perhaps but once a month if we eat at the Habit Grill and get their vegetarian burger.
    The WFPB diet got me out of a wheelchair. There is NO meal worth going back to where I came from to return to being crippled. Experiencing that for myself, I am more motivated than he is, but believe me, I love him very much. Married 47 years to the same man.
    He’ll eat my burritos and 5-bean chili and lentil stew, so he is half-way there.

That's a statement people say when they haven't done years of reading and research as some of us have done. All humans have a brain, heart, lungs, intestinal tract, the same blood cells and blood circulating, etc. So unless you're an alien from another planet your statement is just an ignorant claim. Don't confuse the fact that the reason our bodies react to some things differently is because we have eaten or done things that influence it in certain ways that react differently but that DOES NOT mean we are different. For example, there's one thing for sure, the human body cannot thrive on meat and dairy no matter who you are. At some point it'll take you down. And the term is not "diets" it should be a lifestyle. Diets are short-term and usually destructive.

The polyphenol content in a cup of tea is dertermined by many factors such as cultivar, how the tea has been grown and harvested, how it has been processed, stored and finally infused by the consumer. The phenol explorer database confirms this. The content of e.g. the health promoting catechin EGCG varies greatly from 0.57 to 271.43 in 16 samples of green tea.

    We are what we eat goes for plants and animals as well. Most vegetables in the USA are heavily sprayed with herbicide, pesticide, fungicide, pick your ~cide that seeps into the ground which then is absorb by the plant through the roots. Even "organic" farms are allowed to spray something.
    The same goes for animals being fed grains(carbs) and not allowed to roam. It should be well known that all living things on this planet can be stressed, thus releasing compounds associated to the reaction.
    Even women who breastfeed will transmit to their child what their body processed. Eat the rainbow and food that emulate life.
    Are rice and potatoes the same as bread and sugar?

    I (also known as Raw form of life❤️) am in your, Annette Larkins', and Markus Rothkrantz's team. I ran an experiment recently after I followed some fruitarian influencers. I was shocked by how many sweet fruits they eat in a day because I usually cannot consume more than 3 dates and a couple of bananas per day... and they claim that 9 bananas and 40(!?!?!) dates make a portion of their daily diet and they are still alive and doing good. Well, ok. I decided to try increasing a fraction of sugary fruits and almost forced myself to eat them because I am more into juicy and refreshing taste palate, sweets are like a cherry on a pie. Result was that I got white spots on my nails after just a couple of days of my sweet experiment, which is an indicative of either Zn deficiency (highly unlikely, I overdose Zn from hemp and pumpkin seeds) or, guess what, excessive sugar consumption. I dialed back on sugar - no more white spots. Boom. Conclusion - majority of calories from greens, sprouts, seeds, juicy and non-sweet fruits, and "cotton candy" only in moderation!

    • @we_are_all_the_same
      @we_are_all_the_same Před rokem

      Yeah, copper and zinc have an inverse relationship. That's why fruitarians get zits when they dive into fruit cleansing too fast. They think it's acid waste, bacteria, and dermatoxins surfacing (true) but the trigger is pulled by zinc plummeting, which supports skin and scalp on any diet. It's best to know your levels and to be smart and balanced about the micros too.

    • @we_are_all_the_same

For example, how do they determine how many calories and how much of each vitamin is in a head of broccoli? It seems impossible to me. I actually asked a scientist this question once, and he said they just enter information into a formula. I don't think there is any "formula" that can tell people the exact amount of nutrients in any food. Most scientific studies are funded by companies who want you to buy their products ... follow the money! As long as people are eating God's fresh, real food .. they should be fine. Plant foods are the original diet that God told the people He created to eat .. Genesis 1:29 So God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of the entire earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you.
