      Rather than always repeatedly requesting, why don't someone find owner of the nsx r or anything else that willing to lend their cars for review? It bugs me to see those type of comments. I mean I'm already impressed james find all those cars in his series of review. They're not easy to find let alone easy to drive around.

  • @smminco
    @smminco Před 5 lety +5

    I paused at 2 seconds for this comment. I was hoping you'd do this car. I got a white 2012 4.0 for $20k over sticker when a collector backed out. I was actually going in looking for a regular RS, walked out with this car, fell head over heels, and I don't even care that it's skyrocketed in value, because I daily and track drive this car like value doesn't mean a thing. It's the epitome of an analog car.

    • @porschecollector727
      @porschecollector727 Před 5 lety +1

      smminco I salute you! How many miles do you have on it now?

    • @smminco
      @smminco Před 5 lety +1

      @@porschecollector727 59,000. But that's also taking into consideration there are a couple other cars that I weekend drive/track. But looking back, I can't believe the dealer just let me have it for 20k over. And I'm betting the guy who backed out is really kicking himself.

    • @smminco
      @smminco Před 5 lety +1

      @@porschecollector727 not to mention, I almost didn't go to look at the RS at all, because I really didn't wanna get rid of my sure cooled Porsche at the time, and I couldn't even come close to being able to afford both.

  • @ivanlipik

    Here is some other modern classics you should do a video about 560 sec amg, 190-2.5, mk2 golf gti, mk4 golf r32, maybe even a Mercedes w140 s600 or a s70 if you can find one. I think that cars value will jump in couple of years because its the last Mercedes where engineers had more influence over accountants and cars were built with little regard to material and production cost, and lets not forget it was designed by Bruno Sacco.

    • @MrCarGuy
      @MrCarGuy Před 5 lety

      Of course they were designed with regard to "materials and production costs". I know what you're inferring here. The W220 had more development costs for the new materials and polymers, etc., and production methods than the 140 ever did (all to save weight and compete with the aluminum A8). Nearly 300 patents were filed on behalf of the 220. The 220 was the most innovative and expensive car for them to develop in recent history.

    Ideal spec is that colour 👍. The significance of the ‘Mezger engine’ is that he is Porsche’s most famous engine designer (other than Ferdinand himself of course!), In that he designed a good portion of their race engines, including the infamous 917 series, the multiple F1 World Champion winning TAG McLaren engines, as well as the much less successful Footwork Arrows V12 F1 engines. He also penned the original boxer 6s for the 911, etc... So, this car truly wore dents the end of an era in both chassis AND engine design!

    255/35r19 on the 19×9 would be a better match than a 245/35r19 for the 325/30r19 on a 19x12 . A 255 on a 9(10.2 inches wide) and a 325 on a 12(rated on 11.5 plus .5 width takes the tire from 13 inches wide to a 13.2 inch width using the "two tenths rule") have the same amount of overhang.
