I assume that this is a video of a practice safety training. Would like to have you show the minimum equipment that we should carry when out on the ice. We have a fresh water pond, about 3 hectares. We are very cautious, perhaps too cautious. Thank you for the great videos. Bill Terry Waterford CT, USA
Hi. Correct, this was on a trip with the leaders in our local skating club. We tired to pratice the situation when many people goes in to the water - tricky. Nowadays my interest is focused on how to judge/assess the ice for skating. There are some other vidoes focused on how we think about equipment in Sweden. czcams.com/video/NRDukt8ZzJE/video.html is such a video, regrettably in Swedish. She shows two different sets, one (very) complete set and later also a more basic version. Maybe that can give you some info about this. No harm in being cautious, I am sure that you will learn more by being more on the ice and after time be able to take more liberties. Happy skating!
@@krillev The way we practice self rescue is by purposely breaking through or jumping in. We haven't tried a group scenario yet, do you have any resources we could use to structure that in the water?
