Filmen är en naturlig fortsättning på den första ismannaskapsfilmen - czcams.com/video/dhXFc8jfNLw/video.html Note that this film has subtitles in English.

Super bra förklarat!
Första video jag såg!!🤩🤩
Wow jag prenumererade precis. Blev det 670:de prenumeranten!!!🤩🤩
Super pedagogisk! Otroligt bra förklarad!! Bravo!
wowww!
OS potential??
Mycket bra! Cred!
Väldigt fina och informativa videor, ser fram emot fler !
Great video, thank you !!
Excellent, thank you a lot !!
Fantastic video. Watching experienced Nordic skaters like this guy, in combination with time on the ice is a wonderful way to learn. Make more videos.
Utmärkt! Tack 😊
thank you for the video!! really grateful for it, it helps a lot!! cheers from austria
You can also get an idea of thickness by sound! Thin ice will sound like a high pitched crack when hit, thick ice will be a low thud. But of course, always actually measure 🤌
Bra video! Åker runt roxen ibland. /Grendholmsbo
I am new to wild ice skating and this series has given me lots to think about and practice. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Really informative and very useful video. Short, smart and easy. Shake your hand, mate.
What materials did you use to make your ispik?
Regrettably I did not make it myself. I had it as a gift from a fellow skater. Not quite sure how it is made. It has some good reinforcements near the lower end so it is a bit heavy but it never bends.
@@krillev I appreciate your reply, trying to make one myself!
@@krillev would you recommend a blunt or pointed tip? i'm thinking of using a railroad spike fastened to the end of a pole, which tip is basically a dull chisel effect but with a good weight behind it. this could be ground to become pointier but do i really eed to do that?
You are an excellent teacher, with good pacing, accessible information and illustrations. I look forward to all your videos.
You are a great teacher, thank you very much for these videos!
Jättebra!
You are a great teacher, your explanations are simple and easy to follow. Thank you very much for your videos
Thank you! Tack!
Wonderful!
Big Jerm has the smoothest sidearm throw in professional disc golf.
Great film again, Krister! Good terms Ice generation boundaries and Ice process boundaries, I fully agree with this indelning. About ice process boundaries I hope to make short movies coming winter, each showing a process. Like this old one about waves breaking ice at landside czcams.com/video/CNzmRYd6ybo/video.html and this one about waves turning sea ice into vrakis czcams.com/video/XlnTSQviQaQ/video.html, but then with more explanation.
Very informative and well presented, thanks
Very instructional! Thanks.
Sö fint!! 😍
wow!
Uppskattar dessa videor enormt! Du lägger grunden för många ungdomars islära inklusive min egen, stort tack!
Another great video; tusen tack! Did you make your own ice pick pole? And if so; could you share any specifications regarding the weight of the metal pick?
Very informative and easy to follow (once I turned on the English subtitles!). It confirmed a good deal of what I already ‘knew’. A challenge I run into is underwater springs, which erode the ice from underneath - not unlike water currents - and they are difficult to detect.
Agree. We have marsh gas (moerasgas?) giving holes in the ice at some places in Sweden, see czcams.com/video/UgXh_C2Sozc/video.html Yes, hard to see!
I assume that this is a video of a practice safety training. Would like to have you show the minimum equipment that we should carry when out on the ice. We have a fresh water pond, about 3 hectares. We are very cautious, perhaps too cautious. Thank you for the great videos. Bill Terry Waterford CT, USA
Hi. Correct, this was on a trip with the leaders in our local skating club. We tired to pratice the situation when many people goes in to the water - tricky. Nowadays my interest is focused on how to judge/assess the ice for skating. There are some other vidoes focused on how we think about equipment in Sweden. czcams.com/video/NRDukt8ZzJE/video.html is such a video, regrettably in Swedish. She shows two different sets, one (very) complete set and later also a more basic version. Maybe that can give you some info about this. No harm in being cautious, I am sure that you will learn more by being more on the ice and after time be able to take more liberties. Happy skating!
@@krillev The way we practice self rescue is by purposely breaking through or jumping in. We haven't tried a group scenario yet, do you have any resources we could use to structure that in the water?
En guldgruva att ösa ur. Tack Krister!
Hej Krister väldigt bra och informativ film. Tycker du förmedlar väldigt kondenserad information där allt oväsentligt är borta. Bra! Och tack!!

Tack! Mycket informativ och intressant!

Snyggt jobbat! Grymma ni är!
not sure why this got recommended to me, but I won't complain.
Watch 1 hour UFC recaps, then YT recommend this, hell yeah
