This guy may have the best delivery of almost any comic I've ever seen. As an American, so much of this material is esoteric to the UK and about subject matter completely unfamiliar to me, and I'm still falling off my chair listening to it...
Nice shout. If you have not already done so you must check out his CZcams sketch called PECKHAM. The greatest stand up routine I have ever seen closely followed by Dave Allen teaching his son how to tell the time. Simon Evans and Stewart Francis, the ever giving gifts during the Covid.
Love Simon what a brilliant comedian, never seen him give a bad performance a superb funnyman, in my top ten for sure , don't see enough of Simon on TV he would blow most out of the water
So him live in Manchester. It was a tour de force. He overran by about 30 mins cos he got on a roll. I was knackered at the end because they just kept coming thick and fast. I reckoned you could estimate the intelligence of audience members by how many of They jokes they understood and laughed at. :)
@@YvonneWilson312 I don’t think his right wing posturing on stage and on Twitter is an act at all. He’s not half as smart as Colbert was in playing up that role on the Colbert Report.
If you enjoy Evans' work he also does a series on Radio 4 called 'Simon Evans goes to market' all about Economics. Doesn't sound promising but in his hands it's gold!
Cause he's right wing, but from what I hear, they are slowly bringing more right wing comedians to the shows. However the issue is that they're not that funny and also, they don't really slap all politicians while left wingers do.
Absolute genius. A few of you have just discovered him. Check out his "Peckham" sketch. I once described it as the ultimate and definitive 15 mins stand up sketch. Haven't changed my mind. Simon and Stewart Francis are the dogs bollocks!!!
I just want to let you know i saw this act years ago. It left such an impression i remembered it and ive been searching all afternoon. Thank you for the laughs.
Ironically, Mr. Evan’s routine about his (small) eyes is a direct resuly of him being heckled about is eyes many years ago. He admitted that the heckle made him uncomfortable but then he decided to incorporate the subject into his routine - the results are ‘eye opening’ ! 😉 (czcams.com/video/lcEv6XrZefY/video.html Above is the link )
Stewart Lee appears to have a long-standing unrealized ambition to be a comedian. Before his next attempt, he should sit down and watch Simon Evans for yet another example of how it's supposed to be done. Just brilliant!
I ldnt remember this guys name and couldnt find the vid that i had seen him on... So i looked up "omedian small eyes"... this guy was the first 2 vids.
Truly brilliant comedian!...Deserves far more airtime.
He doesn't have right-think though
I've just had one of those magical 'thank you Internet!' discoveries. Simon's delivery, character, writing are amazing.
Me too!! I love the guy... hilarious
@@paulusintas8627 nobody asked but i think his pseudo educated humor is boring and full platitudeus jokes.
I do like to watch someone who's good at what they do & he's very...

To this day this is the best opening line I've seen in any stand-up set. It's perfect.
Nice shout.

An absolute must watch right to the very VERY END.
"It was the middle of winter; has been for years..."
Brilliant!
"It was the middle of winter. Has been for years."
Classic!
This guy is eloquent. I like eloquence. It's a pleasure listening to him.
Ex Essex didn’t you hear? He’s educated.
I like eloquence too. I like their big ears and long noses. 😊
Pity we don't see more of this guy. He's brilliant...
"SEE" what you did there lol
Pity he doesn't see more of us!!!
Gotta be the best opening 30 seconds of any stand up !
This is the way to skit regional accents. Good natured and not spiteful. Funny.
Love Simon what a brilliant comedian, never seen him give a bad performance a superb funnyman, in my top ten for sure , don't see enough of Simon on TV he would blow most out of the water
This guy is a legend. Too bloody funny
Come back to this one often , it's excellent 👌

Best sketch ever. I really like Simon Evans' comedy - we don't see enough of him.
I see too much tbh
Just don't see enough of Simon Evans on TV he is really funny and rapid fire funny
Cos he's shown himself to be a complete twat, that's why
Because you only get on TV as a comedian if youre left wing nowadays and he isnt.
@@phillyblunt138 Why is that?

I second that
Why isn't this guy on Qi, WILTY and 8 out of 10 cats? He's hilarious
Because he’s not left wing

He writes for 8 out of 10.
@@PoachedEggsinRedWine oh really? That's pretty cool.
I suspect its because he's not a lefty batsard like the rest of the BBC.
"or being buggered in the showers at Harrow! Thank you Rector" Ha ha ha. Brilliant
He's a really funny guy.. I like him
I liked all of this video, especially the bit right at the end 6:36.
At the end of the day, rubble is rubble. You can move it around a bit to express your frustration, but it is more fung shui than vandalism, really.
Wonderful
Brilliant comedian - so delightfully unapologetic in his tongue-in-cheek "put-downs". Love it.
Fav Comedian! Brilliant!
Thank you! Not my favourite tho he's a bit of a tosser
Brilliant 😂😂, never heard of him til last week, watching my way through.
I've seen him live a couple of times, he is absolutely hilarious.
"This is all very well, but where are his eyes?" Funniest part
Did u see the woman who didn't take well to the 'it is, in fact, educated' joke
She probably didn’t get it.
well he is so bloody funny and straight talking. :D
"The wind stiffened nipple..." Don't you love it ?
And absolute brilliant camera work at the end.
possibly the best opening to a set ever!
meh
Brilliant, so different from all the others , a top man
This routine is genius
Brilliant saw this routine live in Sunderland. Heavily edited here for t.v it was so good.
He reminds me of me. I had to learn to speak R P when I first moved to england from alabama in the southern us. Yes you read that correctly.
I'd love to hear your accent now :)
Now that's a shame. I lived in Huntsville for nine years, and I really miss the accent.
Well done! I really hope ur accent now proper british, not Us one
You know this was recorded quite some time ago when he refers to his phone as a “camera phone”
Absolute genius.
A few of you have just discovered him.
Check out his "Peckham" sketch.
I once described it as the ultimate and definitive 15 mins stand up sketch.
Haven't changed my mind.
Simon and Stewart Francis are the dogs bollocks!!!
Marvellous. Clear pronounciation, interesting stories, a joy even for a foreigner
This guy really makes me laugh!
spectacular clip, one of the best "unknowns" ive seen on comedy roadshow, along with imran yusuf
This guy is hilarious! xD
Can't believe I missed this!
One of the best standup sets of all time!

One word... Absolutely brilliant. :)
Thanks be to the ArseRaptor.
Excellent stuff..
Hilarious. We need an hour or more! Anyone...?
I like this guy - very amusing.
He was often funny on Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive.
What a great start 😂😂😂
Gwan Simon, I absolutely love this routine!
top class.
Cheers for the upload Raptor!
quality comedian one of the best around
Love him too - wish there was some fresh material available. Love your nom de plume - wish I'd thought of it first.

CheesyChimp69 I do find Stuart Lee funny at times. But he is a smug prick nearly as often
He was always very funny and seems like a clone of a few comedians together
Hilarious!!! Great Comedian!!!
saw him as the support act for kevin bridges, was great then and great here
Warrison brought me to this nicely filmed video!
just excellent.
Still amazing today
'A wind stiffened nipple'. The man is a poet.
One of the greatest comedy routines in the world.

Good lord. I am speechless.
same tho ahahahahahahahaha
Worth watching for those knockers at 6:37...
The aspect ratio doesn't really help the size of his eyes, does it?
I can`t believe how shallow people can be. So what about your personal aspect ratio mister perfect?
4:3 aspect ratio - So last century
