I was mainly practicing dreams play style, but you got my attention. Hey I practiced the snap cancel on console using default controls, but because icarus dash I could not be consistent or implement it properly. Maybe it takes more practice or its only good for pc

The build he's running is:
Raconteur - Successful Warm up + Archers tempo, Freehand Grip mod.
Judgment of Kelgorath - Impulse Amplifier + Demolitionist, Icarus Grip mod
OathKeeper - Stasis Loader + Impact Induction + Heavy Handed
Helmet - 2x Stasis Targeting
Chest - 2x Stasis Unflinching
Legs - Solar Holster + Recouperation + Absolution
Cape - 3x Utility Kickstart
Why Judgement? Aren't the other glaives better for PvP?
@@bando4325 Judgement of Kelogorath has the highest base range of any glaive in the game currently (aka projectile speed). Impulse Amplifier pretty much caps it out. As for the other perks, whether the glaive is crafted or not, and if it is, what stats he focused, that's all up to preference. Oh and since it's an aggressive glaive, the damage profile is higher than adaptive or rapid-fire frames.
@@bando4325 along with the other things already mentioned, Judgement gets Impulse in the 4th column which lets you pair it with something like Demo for more grapples (whereas the only other Glaive with Demo has it in the same column as Impulse)
I was checking in on his build over the weekend and saw when he was running kelgorath and saw he switched to unexpected resurgence after having used kelgorath for a bit. So I'm interested on his commentary around that switch.

I have reasons to believe Hynra is the ancient guardian being revived that didn't quite get the modern life... or combat, style. But clearly this isn't a real problem for him.
What I love about strand hunter is how extremely high the skill ceiling is. I feel like it’s on the level of dawnblade where the limits are your creativity, where I don’t really feel like anything is “broken” but instead you genuinely earn these ankle breaking moments. Can’t wait for the break down to try this out myself.
By far the most fun pvp (even pve potentially) subclass in the game for this reason exactly
it's not just the skill ceiling it's the skil floor too. it's just brain dead grapple spam to win. the only thing that's worse is being a juggernaut titan
@tal7971 one trick ponys like strand hunter or juggernaut titans are exactly why I run blink warlock. when they're coming straight at you at Mach 10 and I teleport behind behind them. They're completely clueless.

@@tal7971 Absolutely not. I think honestly the skill floor is pretty low. I see very brain dead players trying to make grapple work and they just immediately die. Same goes for the bombadiers build. I'd go as far as to say that this subclass is more balanced then Dawnblade because you need to be smart about where you put your grapple points and understand when it is safe to grapple.

What's that exactly? Sounds like just hitting a headshot, then melee or am I missing something?
Imagine if next season they add a craftable strand precision bow with Swashbuckler on it.
Harmonic mods, 1 shots on all resiliences, double body supers with surges (heavy handed mod goes brrr), enhanced Swashbuckler would mean a 6.5 second duration for all of this that would refresh on weapon/melee kills, Thread of Propagation would also mean Unraveling Rounds for 5 seconds too.
This would probably be the best bow to ever exist.
Add hatchling in there too for pve. Literally the exact bow I'm waiting for

It has been a while since I used bow and it was my first time using oathkeepers and I can't stress enough of bow are too good rn, just using the bow by itself worked well since I did not push up and risk anything... But the satisfaction of hitting a cool clip was well worth it.

Ever since I saw you do the grapple bow combo a couple videos back I've been running nothing but strand hunter with a bow. I get maybe 1-2 kills with the combo per game but it feels so f*ing good when I get it that I don't want to run anything else.

This is near the top of the bow skill ceiling on a strand hunter. Dawnblade still remains supreme with the best movement.

Bows can only really be maximized on hunter because of their jump. Just like every other weapon. Makes me glad bungie introduced AE

This is why I am always terrified of bow users. Most of the time they're just an annoyance, but every so often someone comes in with an absurd build and pushes your shit in, i can't stand them

1:33 I was on the fence but yeah that just perfectly showed off how OP the strand slam is. That radius is too big. The warlock was NOWHERE NEAR.
Nah its fine. Too small and its just throwing to use it. Already risky since enemies can just hipfire you, and you're commiting to the animation.

@@lordinvincible2622 No it doesn't. My entire clan calls it a suicide button because 9/10 we ALWAYS kill the strand hunter that tries to dive. It absolutely does not need a nerf.
The melee absolutely needs a nerf, it's absurd. More tracking than even Celestial Fire and you can hardly ever escape it. At the very least it should deal less damage, like the Void Warlock melee.

looks like you really need the hunter jump for this movement to work out. could this at all be adapted for warlock?
Hunter jump conserves momentum the best, warlock is close behind so it might work but not as well
I would run with a glaive, but Conditional Finality is too strong to be replaced.
You could even use swash with this zamn...
why dont you take a seat right over there
