It could have also been a seasonal mod. I know one creates the lightning strikes if you get an arc kill while amplified.

CLARIFICATION: You don’t need to own Witch Queen deluxe edition to get Osteo Striga, you just need to complete the campaign. How most pre-order exotic weapons work is the season the expansion comes out it is only available to the people who got the preorder deluxe edition, but the next season allows anyone with the expansion to get it. Hope this helps anyone who is confused. So don’t spend the extra money!
u can't expend extra money though, the witch queen deluxe edition doesn't exist anymore so...
@@yherr0 I mean more for future expansions in which you can buy the deluxe edition for early access to the exotic. It only last a season in which you don’t have access to it

But a deluxe edition also contains the whole year's seasons which now have been changed to 1200 silver if you buy them individually and the new bullshit dungeon key, so it's still pretty damn worth it
They changed it though because they didn’t specify enough with osteo striga and people thought they’d get the smg when they bought the dlc, so for future deluxe editions not only do you get the other stuff such as all seasons for the year and the dungeon key you also get the new exotic whatever it may be whenever you buy the deluxe dlc
Clarification for Whisper of the Worm:
White Nail now refunds 1 round (from “thin air”) to your reserves upon landing 3 consecutive precision hits. Previously, it used to refunds all 3 rounds directly to your magazine, having the potential to never run out of ammo.
Never should've changed it considering its dps

@@justsomedude1593 linear dps got nerfed plus if not exotic linears really arent that good also it should be doing way more than linear its a heavy ammo exotic sniper meant to be used solely for a boss considering the bosses we have now headshots are deam near impossible without a div not to mention its exotic perk is mid giving a 3.6x precision multiplier versus a regular legendary sniler(that normally out dps unless u have a hsitty world drop roll) 3x precision multiplier white nail does brkng it up to 5x but in my opinion for what it is it should be weapon does no body shot dmg but precision dmg has a base 7x precision multiplier and 14x when white nail is procced and considering we have bosses with 44 mill health now thats not even overkill multiplier tbh

Leviathan‘s Breath Cat is a huge game changer. I think most people underestimate this Bow. You can one shot champions with it.🔥

@@alaskayoung3413 nah it's pretty easy, sunshot, graviton lance and the fighting lion catalyst are other thing, catalyst that requires something else than kills are pretty difficult, and year one exotics always have crazy numbers of kills to get the catalyst

@@max5040 wouldn’t say that. If your hardware is good then you should also deal more damage on console. But even without the hardware problems with this weapon it deal a lot of damage.
The huckleberry catalyst is amazing for ad cleaning and PVP, every kill fully reloads the clip
Outbreak Perfected doesn't suck without it's catalyst. In PvP I get a LOT of kills with it. Sure, the catalyst improves it, but it's still good
on Thunderlord for Titan use Actium War Rig, it reloads while you shooting, kinda like having a 350 round magazine.
2nd warning with the two tailed fox catalyst dont walk forward while firing otherwise you won't shoot the arc rocket

To get the Galli Catalyst is by far the most work I have put in to get it and finish it.
Thunderlord, 'Doesn't need any help from any other exotic', divinity is clearly there helping buff those lightning strikes chances
Even though Crimson's catalyst supposedly only increased range, it turned it into an absolute nightmare of a weapon. Throw Lucky Pants into the mix and the thing becomes a damn chainsaw in PVP or PVE

1 question: Do you need to have the weapons inside your inventory or even equipped while farming Strikes for the catalysts? I don't see any Cat's to drop yet.... Sadme
you have to get the weapon before getting the catalyst and then you need to kill a certain amount of enemies with it. usually it’s 600 pve kills for light ammo weapons and around 300 for heavies or less
I’d still make the argument that the best pound for pound catty is Trinity Ghoul. It takes what is an objectively mid weapon and turns it into an objectively S Tier weapon. I really can’t think of one that manages to throw its weapon that far into greatness as it. Keep in mind, a lot of them a really really good.

Does anyone know if i need the respective DLC's to get the weapon's catalyst? I played on Playstation for Forsaken/Black Armory and dropped the game (clan died) but slowly got back into the game after migrating to PC. Since I transferred my characters over to PC, the gear that I have collected over on Playstation transferred over, so I have quite a few DLC exotics without having bought the expansions on PC yet (waiting for a sale). Been doing the vanguard playlists but nothing has dropped for me. I'm aware that the drop rate is pretty whack but I just wanna be sure if I do need the expansions for the catalysts.
Crimson really benefits from its catalyst. Nice, reliable gun. Not as good as Red Death was.

Problem with the Witherhoard Catalyst Quest is you need Guardian Kills to complete it.

i Been killin Vex on Nessus for 14 days, 6 hours a day and i still cant get Sturm catalyst to drop, is it bugged??
They pulled some bs for the outbreak perfected. I got it when the mission was available and managed to get the catalyst which I unlocked and equipped while doing the puzzle for the ship yet rn while I have the catalyst I need to unlock it again.
Do you need to be using said weapon to get the catalyst or can I just like have it in my vault or inventory
You just have to own exotic, you get catalyst even if you dismantle the exotic

Ostriga striga can hold 30 rounds if you add some parts for it in the game

Mostly random drops without wielding the weapon.
I'll just say it. I would love to see catalysts for masterworked exotic armor. even if they are just effect extenders, subclass energy type switches or an additional mod-slot for armor-catalyst mods
You don’t even need witch queen to have ostio striga I got mine during the promo before light fall where beyond light Shadowkeep and witch queen were free to play

Genuinely feel like the rate of cat drops are completely messed up. For random drops, there should be a slight increase chance if you're using the desired exotic during playlists. It's also felt like it's more inclined to drop cats in playlists you don't normally play. I could go 4 or 5 days without a single drop on my preferred PVE strikes, but in one day of grinding crucible i obtained 4 cats in about 12 matches.
haha...im on like day 90 of trying to get Vigilance Wing to drop with no luck. Yet I can buy an exotic from the monument and it will drop the catalyst within a few playlist runs lol...

@@DoomiePookie I've been preferring Ghoul with the seasonal perk for arc final blows to jump, leading to more catalyst procs. It can reach the point I'm just tap shooting the bow killing all ads around me without aiming.

Furm believer of trinity ghoul having it's catalyst perk as an intrinsic feels bad that yoy have to get the catalyst just to make the exotic do what it should've done from jump catalydt should've been like trinity ghoul multi kills grant 15% energy to your arc abilities and spawn a lightning rod to throw down st an area to cause lightning strikes there or multi kills "charge" your arc abilities giving them extra dmg and duration

The hoops you have to jump through for the average player just isn't worth the effort to get some of these Cats. You have to jump through enough hoops just to get the weapon and then get your jumping shoes on again.

while the premisce of the video is fine, and you more or less do describe the title fine, you missed a few VERY important things about a decent number of these catalysts that make them good, as an example, the 'accelerated coils' perk added to the sleeper simulant catalyst is unique to that weapon, it's not the same as the regular version of the perk that also reduces the impact of the weapon to give that extra reduction in charge time, or, you didn't actually state that to buy the base version of 'legend of acrius' you will need to not only have the highest tier of general materials needed to buy a weapon from the exotic kiosk, but you will also need to have spoils of conquest from completing raid bosses, which is a massive barrier to entry for many new/returning players for that weapon.
there's other nitpicks in how you presented the information provided and while as I stated it's not a clickbait video, you leave out a staggering amount of important information for each weapon and why the catalyst is worthwhile getting for many of them (as some are fairly self explanatory).

there was bug on thunderlord also and now its fixed. bungo quickly fixes and nerfs all that benefits players. what is game breaking still after 4 years here

Unfortunately, Two Tailed fox was indirectly nerfed at the start of this season
Last season Void Surge buffed all rocket, now Void Surge only buffs the void rocket
For Two Tailed fox this means 2x solar surge and 1x void surge OR 2x void surge and 1x solar surge for maximum damage buff

With the Legend of Acrius note, the weapon originally came from a quest. Partway through that quest, you would get a version that doesnt have any perks and only has 1 in the mag, which is probably what you’re thinking of. The full version of the gun has 4 in the mag, and the perks you see in the collections screen
