- A trip to Bangkok Thailand isn't complete without eating the oldest beef stew in the world! This perpetual stew/soup at Wattana Panich has been cooking NON - STOP for 47 years with its recipe passed down through 3 generations already. This stew has got to be one of the craziest, most bizarre and authentic Thai street food dishes that is definitely worth trying next time you visit Bangkok.

I'm Thai and I confirm this restaurant is one of the best Thai braised beef in Bangkok.
A biologist friend of mine found some research on a stew that as far as the initial researcher could tell, had been going for 500 years.
Where can I read about this?
I want to know if these were analyzed and if they have a real high amount of powerful probiotics or what .
Yea sure liar
Definitely will put this on my List to visit - looks amazing - thanks guys x
Im an American living in the philippines.... my soup has been cooking since December. Come and get it!!!!😂😂😂😂
What a nice video to wake up to and now I’m hungry 🤤 thanks you guys 🤦♂️😂.. it would’ve been pretty corny if you guys did a time loop effect and brought us all back 47 years with you as their first customer 😜.. happy you like it and polished it off …Keep well & safe 🙏🙏
If only we could time travel!
hi! we are from holland and followed your vlogs for a while, and today we saw you walking in bangkok near terminal 21! what a nice city! Looking forward to the next vlog!
Hey, Mario actually noticed you guys and thought maybe you watched our channel 😅 we were filming at that time, a day in Bangkok video is coming up next! Thanks guys 🙂
Hi guys. That looked very tasty. I know you like your broth and stews Mario. Very hearty food 😋

🏴🏴🇹🇭🙏
Well worth the taste for the price 👍 thanks for sharing guys
Mario used 3 minutes to finish up a 47 year old dish. Awesome 😎😎😎
Hi couple, I love Thai noodles. Amazing always. Unstoppable when this menu be on the table same you. Thanks for this VDO.
I appreciate you guys getting right to it! But I also wish you would’ve talked to the shop owners a little bit, lots of different ages listed for the soup some ones said 40 you said 47 but both videos released 5months ago
That must be very good. Enjoy and have a good time.
In the eastern Pyrenees of French Catalonia, there was once the *"Perpignan perpetual stew"* that was *cooked continuously from the 15th century* , and lasted all the way *until World War II!*
what happened to it?
watching this from Louisiana and thinking, " This is not stew, its gumbo lol". Down south our "stews" are much thicker due to the use of roux and other ingredients. Enjoyed the video, thanks
Going to go to this place tomorrow!
yeah those stew soup really good in thailand with some rice noodles and beef or chicken
Looks great
That stew really did look amamzingly good.....even made you sweat Mario! 🤣🤣👍👍🙏
47 years of flavor
How about the pot? Does the metal in it will break eventually coz of constant heat?
👍 sure love it !
I dont get it. they clean the bowl and pour it back in but replace it each night? I dont get it. I get that they have a big pot stewing, but if they want to clean the pot out, do they move the soup to another pot? what about the meat that is in the stew still? is it transferred over or strained out while the old pot contents is strained into a new pot? I guess thats how it works i suppose.
awesome guys
Wow🔥🔥
Some older noodle shop in Thailand they put weed in it to make it taste good but they don't tell you.
Anyone who’s ever had an edible knows that weed tastes nasty.
น่าอร่อย หิวเลย
Zayum you finished it fast mustiv taste real good making me want to try it out. Bet they make a lot of sale's
Its great!
This is on my Bangkok bucket list. I did not know about it when I was there unfortunately, but I have seen this on a Mike Chen food vlog. Cheers guys this place is legendary. Pin it for us please! Happy Travels
It was great, make sure you go next time!
Visit the World and get humble and appreciate life as you know it
great video, but i cannot get over the fact he didn’t enforce the sidewalk rule 😭

I looked it up, and they say there was one in Perpignan, France that was cooking all the way from the 15th century until WW2, when they finally gave up on it, because they ran out of ingredients during the German invasion. If true, then it would probably be fair to say it was like the redwood of stews.
you same same Thai people to eat noodle ...... one beef ball is the last in bowl before finished because its the best in your bowl🤣
try beef tendon too.
I love how he says it's not spicy as the woman behind him whipes the sweat off her forehead lmao
Idgaf how long it's been cooking I'm not eating it
Dont you think its too early for putting all good videos only on Patreon??
They never changed the pot or what?
😮😮😮😮

100% sure there is a ton of dirt and bugs in that broth lol
Hi, I remember Olivia is vegetarian, isn’t?
wrong youtube couple
We used to be veggie
It was closed during Covid. So not true.
That doesn't mean they didn't keep it going just because it wasn't open to the public
@@courtadbobtail600 everyone was locked down.
@josephdale69 The restaurant is almost certainly their property so they're allowed in there, their house is probably part of thr building.
🤩🤩🤩🤩😁😁😁😁😁
Looks good but imagine all the bugs in there
อาหารไทยไม่อร่อย ชอบกินขนมปังอาหารขยะ
Disgusting
The 47 year old stew or the fact that he's 47 and found this little 10 year old girl over there to be his wifey? 😂
🤢🙄 yikes
So how long did your stomach take it before you had to find a toilet to sit on for about an hour? 😂
Ends up dying of stomach cancer
That would more like happen from fast food like mackies etc...
