In this video, I ate at the oldest restaurants in the world to find out how they've survived hundreds of years. Follow Me Here: / dylanhyper / dylanhyper
The reason the burger always tastes the same is because during the founding of McDonald, the franchising rules stated that ingredients used in everything has to be the same. Same brand, same place, same food.
Actually at one time the oldest current McDonald’s. I am from so cal and family is from Downey so very very familiar with that McDonald’s. In the 1970’s and 80’s the McDonald’s wa based on a franchise agreement with the brothers and not ray croc and was on private property not owned by McDonald’s. So they didn’t have items after ray croc bought the brothers out like the Big Mac or Chicken McNuggets. It was very odd to say the least. But as a kid it was funny no inside dinning. Also used to live in Salzburg. Great tourist town and so funny to say that isn’t Mozarts house to tourists. And their is a good McDonald’s next to Mozarts house in Salzburg.
That consistency is important to sell those burgers and fries. I don’t buy coffee out anymore because I’m never sure what its gonna taste like. Many franchises got it right with food but not coffee yet.
I watched the McDonald’s documentary on Netflix. When he said that the founder was Ray Croc I immediately thought back. The whole documentary showed how it was created by two men who met Ray later in McDonald’s time as a restaurant. Ray helped them franchise out the company so they could get more brand deals and make more money. But Ray had a dream and thought the brothers were standing in the way and not allowing him to make McDonalds the biggest fast food chain in the world. He then convinced them to sell him the company and gave the 100 PERCENT equity, but he had didn’t give them even a penny. The older brother had a heart attack when he got the phone call that there was nothing they could do to get back the company. I hope some of you found this information helpful so you know the full context about the “founder”. Edit: Thank you so much for 1k likes!!!
He didn't scam though, Ray had a world-wide vision, the stubborn brothers couldn't see it or didn't care, whatever their reason was, if it wasn't for Ray, we wouldn't know of any MacDonalds.
Thats so common in history: Steve Jobs and Bill Gates stole the GUI idea from the Xerox Labs, because they were so stupid to show and explain them all. Certainly, that restaurant was in a Rococo style of the 18th century, only 1000 years off. 800s would be Romanesque and there are very few examples of that left. You might see in Ravenna, Italy.

@@LoreCreatesEverythingbut this one is from 800 ad which is a thousand years before the one you mentioned! Restaurants have been around for far longer than the 1700’s. Taverns and pubs were huge in the middle ages in england
Ketchup, Mustard and white Architecture drew people to the restaurant subliminally. The wrapper used to be like semi transparent parchment paper with a blue ink printed Mc Donald burger boy trademark. 35c for a hamburger. And big steak fries and soda. Plus the cold milk shakes were with real ingredients and burgers were very hot and tasty! You could smell the aroma as a bag of McDonald sat on the floor of the car. When my dad was 5, (year 1968) he went to McDonalds for the first time while on vacation to California. They didn’t have it in NY yet so he had never had it before. He was in California visiting family. When he was with his aunt, she took him to the McDonalds to get a Big Mac and a McFlurry. Ever since then, he has loved McDonalds.
They didn’t have McFlurrys there in 1968. McFlurrys didn’t start at McDonald’s until late 90s. During my high school days I worked there as a manager. Worked there from 1995 to 2000. the world's oldest restaurant is in spain, Madrid, and its called Sobrino de Botín, has actually the record and the title. That place was a tavern not a restaurant. A restaurant or other eating house is a business that concentrates on selling meals and may or may not be licensed to sell liquor for consumption on the premises. I feel like the McDonalds that is in Vista, California is the OLDEST McDonalds because I remember eating there when I was a kid!! And that place is STILL AROUND today!! Crazy! But cool because I have good memories of playing there in the playground when I was a kid!
