The problem with Dictatorships though is once the main guy dies, his successor could undo any good his predecessor did before if he’s an evil man or an idiot, and giving an idiot unlimited power is a disaster waiting to happen.
@@brandonlyon730 As well, since dictatorships usually instated through coups, you (as a hypothetical dictator) have to contend with allies and rivals alike for power, usually through violence. After all, if you have managed to become of Head of State/Government, what's to stop everyone else from overthrowing you?

I just realized, we just went from a country with a major city called Tripoli to a country with a major city called Tripoli.
Also the 57C temperature was disqualified in 2012.
Even if disqualified the vastness of the Libyan desert and the lack of stations to measure the temperature means 57 is an easy number because 57 Celsius has been recorded multiple times

The idea that gadaffi was a bad leader is a very western viewpoint and a little short sighted, yeah he wasn’t the best but women had more rights than some similar countries, free education and health care, the GMR etc and after NATO’s intervention the country went pretty downhill with militia groups and a civil war.
Edit: most was covered in the video but there are definitely far worse leaders that are still in power compared to gafaffi
Yeah, I hate to admit it but no other famous Libyan in the future will ever surpass Gadaffi's fame because he had a profound effect on the country.

They killed him because he was so damn smart and wasn't just some conformist to "Western" governments. He wanted to trade his oil in Gold dinars and we all know the powers that be would never allow that to happen. I recommend people to look at his interviews in the 70's. He was a very intelligent and soft spoken man.
