The social services in the U.S. seriously needs an overhaul. One of my buddies fell in hard times financially, lost his job, health insurance and savings. Debt building faster than he could maintain. He started having suicidal ideations so his ex called the 911. An officer was dispatched. After the officer talked to him, he decided that my friend should be detained and admitted to a hospital against his will. I understand the cop's motivation and trying to error on the side of caution, I appreciate that. But my buddy without health insurance was forcibly admitted to a hospital which wanted to render treatment against his will and the icing on the cake was that they kept trying to get him to sign payment and treatment authorizations for care he didn't want and couldn't afford. You have a guy in financial and mental crisis and our approach is, let's give him some huge medical bills too. The man literally needed reassurance and help finding steady income.
So glad they stayed back and let the guest speak. This was a good example of it. Too many of these podcasts (i've seen them all), i wonder why they even have a guest on; if they're just going to rant about their own stories the entire time. Either prompt the guest and let them speak or else just have a podcast where you all just talk over each other.
Josh is a legend, and has a beautiful story of a turnaround from a angry little shit to a mature, chill, kind, father and husband!
I've said this many of times its a miracle joshs mentality flowed the way it did and how he came out so on top

Leaving a comment to help the algorithm. Really glad Raikesy didn't double down on as many soliloquys or focus on his own experience and thoughts compared to the guest. Love that RiceCup wasn't as self-centered or talking while thinking a few seconds behind this time. This was the focus on the guest that I'm sure many of us wanted to see in all podcasts.

i feel like the quest xp thing is pretty much the opposite of what rice is saying. from an iron perspective sure u do most quests anyways because u need the unlocks but most of that dosnt apply to mains.... if youre a main theres maybe 20 quests that are actually efficient to do not including pre reqs. i think their intention was to make it so every master and gm quests are at least close to or better than 1 to 1 ehp for mains......... just off the top of my head for mains u need, priest in peril for moritania, underground pass for elf lands, whatever one it is for zeah, ds2 for the assembler, dt for ancients, dream mentor for lunars, akd for thralls and cursed sands for toa. thats it, theres a bunch of prereqs sure but everyhting else is fully optional... its not even efficient to rush bgloves anymore..... loads of casuals want to go for qcape and dont even realise theyre activly inting their progress by 10s of hours. the buff helps with that......
To the runescape chronicles part -- Depending on what you use to record (Raikesy), you may be able to pause the recording as well while you're going. I know OBS allows this. That would mean you can do a longer recording session but pause it for things like throat clearing, weird mouth noises, warm ups, etc. so it doesn't make it into the final audio.

What truly bothers me about his situation is this: I was in the same predicament, although I was 16 when I made a threat to this kid messing up my science project, and it was more than a threat, I threatened to do more. Nevertheless, got expelled and ended up at another school i was going to go to anyways the next year. Granted this was in 2004... Times have really changed in ways. 6 goddamn years for absolutely nothing.. glad he doesn't have resentment anymore, we all would have
