Love it. Thank you for getting to this one. Really nice seeing the main unit snuck into that stub wall location near garage door.
I would add a switch to the electrical box. I would worry about it but flipping it off when I’m gone for the day would give me peace of mind. The little switches can switch and then it’s running all day.
Really love that you can have one wire going around to all the gates. Really cut down on wires going all over.

Nice setup. I have something similar but looking to change out my filters. I like the gama lid idea. What filters did you use? I saw in another comment it was supposed to be listed in the description but I didn’t see it there?

Sorry about that. I was having an issue with CZcams links. Got them all loaded back up in the description. Should be all good now. Thanks for watching. Have a great day!

What filters are you using for your ambient air cleaner? Many of those filters are one way to either push air through or draw air through? On an ambient system like your it makes sense to draw air through and exhaust clean air. Thanks for the video.

All item links are in video description. The filter is made from a woven fabric material. I can’t see that the the direction of air flow thru filter would change the filtering characteristics. Some filters have multiple different layers of materials. I can see that it matter on those types of filter. I respectfully disagree that drawing air thru the filter with the fan would be ideal for the ambient system. All the dust would then be collected on the outside of filter, if it was bumped or jostled, the dust would then be dispersed back into the environment. Much better to have it all collected inside the filter so it can be cleaned out later. Regardless, thank you very much for watching. I hope you have a great day!!

Great job with the system. Have you though of exhausting it directly outside? It would eliminate the need for the cartridge filters. I'm still working on my own system but that's what I plan on doing.

I used to have it exhausting outside. I do not recommend it. The main reason is that it is sucking air out of the shop and blowing it outside. That means you must have a way for air to enter the shop. The window or door you would have to open can be no where near the exhaust vent otherwise you are just sucking the fine dust particles right back in the shop. Depending on the weather that can make some some pretty uncomfortable temperatures inside the shop.

@@squareandlevel That makes sense. My shop is a detached, uninsulated garage, so I'm always battling the elements either way. For me it could work, but not so much in a controlled climate space. I hadn't thought about keeping a door or window open for airflow, but I do usually keep the door open when working except for later in the evening when the mosquitos choose violence.

Hate mosquito violence 🤣. I got a magnetic screen door for the shop door leading outside. Has dramatically helped with the flying pest control. Crawly pests still a battle.

Just to touch on the exhausting outside again, I’m pretty sure I remember hearing it can be a pretty serious health hazard if you do not have a way for air to get into the shop. Something about some type of gas build up due to the shop being in a slight vacuum? I could totally be wrong and be spreading wrong information so definitely double check that.

@@squareandlevel Will do, thanks for the info. I had no idea it could be that dangerous.
