  • I've had the @LivernoisMotorsports Livernois tune on my 2022 Aviator since it has 900 miles on it. I returned it to sock for an oil change - here I am putting the Stage 4 Soft Shift tune back on. My favorite tune hands down! Check back for more videos with Dragy runs! These were to 70/75 Apologies GoPro telemetry was off
    In no way sponsored, I paid full price. Well worth it in my opinion.

    I have a 16' mkx black label and performed the 93 livernois tune. Did notice a performance difference though the shifts were harder for sure. However, i don't know if it was timing and age but a small oil leak developed at the main seal about a week after. Returned the Lincoln to stock after about a year. Got lucky, my extended warranty did cover the leak.

    interesting you changed the tune back to stock for the oil change. I have been told the dealership can see if a tune has been added then put back to stock this is the reason i have not put the Livernoise tune on my Lincoln Nautilus. I dont want to loose my Extended Warranty

      The potential for losing my warranty and extended warranty was a bitter pill to swallow. I bought the Aviator new and purchased an extended warranty out to 100,000 miles. So I plugged my nose and took my medicine all for the hopes of more power.
      The additional power has been great. The transmission tuning is really nice where it no longer skips second year. I love the tune.
      I put the tune on just before 5,000 miles and gave 15,000 on it now. Not a single issue.
      My research and understanding is that as long as the tune did not directly lead to the warranty issue, I am fine. If the radio goes out, it’s covered. If a head gasket blows…. Won’t be covered.
      It is really easy and just take a couple minutes to put it on, off, or change tunes so it isn’t a big deal to swap them out. I take them off before going to the dealership as a personal preference. Every manufacturer is different, with some now “noticing” the rewritten files unless they are looking for it. I just prefer for it to be stock when at the dealership.
      Thanks for the comment!

    this is awesome. just bought a used 2020 reserve. Any plans on adding an exhaust to get some better sounding roars, crackles and pops?

      Stay tuned, I have plans to do a video installing Borla exhaust. I’ll also log before and after times to see if they change with Dragy

    How have you been liking it so far, do all drive modes still function accordingly? How is the fuel economy when daily driving? Still about the same? Looking into the same tune for my 21

      All modes work as before and the vehicle still goes into tow/haul mode automatically when I plug a trailer in. I keep the soft shift 91-93 Stage 4 Tune on all the time. I’m in GA where premium is 93 octane. I get 18-19 MPG while commuting an hour each way in stop and go traffic, spirited driving on the weekends. Without the tune I was getting 22-23 under the same conditions. I have just over 4,000 miles on the tune. Hope this helps you!

    How do you like the aviator? Was thinking of doing all the ST mods on one and do static suspension for a little stiffness and sway bar upgrades. I really want to go all out with upgraded turbos down pipes x pipes and all.

      I’ve had my aviator for about 6 months, 6,000 miles. Checks a ton of boxes: not too big for city parking, seats 6, tows over 5,000 lb, and plenty of aftermarket support! I would absolutely buy it again! I have my eye on the Borla S exhaust for my next upgrade. @Lessecomoreboost has done some of the stuff you list to his ST. Worth checking out

    Can you tell me how much hp you gained after the tune?

      Livernois has some videos on their channel. They seem to come in around 330 to the wheels stock. Turns into 400-410 at the wheels with the stage 4 like I use. czcams.com/video/QQD7NMbfLAg/video.html

    Do you have a link to purchase this? I am interested. Haven’t seen many videos on the Lincoln Aviator with tune and how things are after a tune.
    Thanks again

      Livernois was great to work with and happy to answer all my questions before and after I ordered. This is the one I have www.livernoismotorsports.com/product/LPP631160/2020-2023-ford-explorer-st-and-lincoln-aviator-3-0l-mycalibrator-tuner

    Anyone know if these tunes work with the hybrid aviator?

    • @TheWADodd
      @TheWADodd  Před rokem +1

      Whipple was clear in their instructions that the megacooler intercooler would not fit in the hybrids. I haven’t read anything about the tune. Bet the tunes hybrid would be QUICK! Livernois customer service was always great to me. I’d give them a call

    Will this void the warranty?

    • @TheWADodd
      @TheWADodd  Před rokem

      A topic that will be debated till the end of time. My experience tuning, lifting, and modifying cars and trucks is that as long as the modification isn’t to blame for the failure, it will be covered. The tune essentially increases fuel and boost. Components outside those systems are probably safe. Just one man’s opinion.

    Does yours have the air suspension?
    I've been a GM guy my whole life, with some exceptions. Still it would take something special to sway me to ford and I think this one may be it.

    • @TheWADodd
      @TheWADodd  Před rokem +1

      I have the Reserve trim level. Air suspension is an option on it, but mine doesn’t have it.
      Definitely some advantages to the air suspension. You can set the vehicle to lower when getting in and out, lower the rear end for loading the trunk, etc.
