  • Apple iPhones have some of the longest-lasting batteries in the industry, thanks to software and hardware optimizations. But if your iPhone burns through its battery capacity in just an hour or two, there could be a few reasons why. Starting, with the iPhone's battery age.

    Best way to preserve battery capacity is just avoid heat at all costs. that means no playing video games on it, no intensive workload on your phone, no direct sun, and don't use max brightness. Additionally, I suggest never letting your battery drop below 20-40%.
    P.S. One tip to save battery can be to turn on 'Reduce White Point'. Also, don't worry about over-charging, your phone is smart enough to never over-charge.
    EDIT: If battery preservation isn't your main concern when using your phone, then just use your phone however you like! This guide is only for those who really want their phone (and battery) to last as long as possible and extend their phone's lifespan!

      This never happens on my android phone, it is always stable and lets me do everything I need to do at all times. Meanwhile my iPad is limiting me extremely due to so many reasons I can't even list here.
      I know that fanboy-ism is annoying but here I'm not even fanboying for a company, I'm just saying the facts that happen when I use my devices and they clearly show the inferiority of Apple.

      Although it's true that Apple is a bit controlling regarding the dimming of the brightness upon overheating, Android phones do also overheat, but they are more flexible and they will not alter your screen brightness settings at all.

Then after a couple months I decided to replace the battery. It has little over 2000 mAh capacity and I followed all the instructions that the manufacturer recommended to calibrate the battery; meaning charging it fully and letting it discharge completely for about 5 times or so. Initially I noticed even better battery life compared to 10.3.3 then after about a week the battery drain issue started to appear again for no apparent reason.

    Well, I replaced an old iphone for a Huawei P30 Pro 3.5 years ago and it's the best phone with battery life I've ever had! In the worst case scenario, it can last about two full days, whilst in the best case scneario, it can last 5 days! Battery has been holding up since then and there's no feel of battery degradation yet. Phone is very reliable and I'll be replacing it maybe when it has reached 6 years of use. I hope that by then, iPhone batteries will be as reliable as my current phone.

    I bought iphone 14 pro a few days ago, battery life is underwhelming, I am getting 5.5 to 8 hours of sceeen on time with moderate usage. Its really incosistent, yesterday I got 8.5h screen on time, was editing videos on capcut for 3 hours and lost only 35% without heat and today I was streaming deezer and it was heating up and watching youtube and I lost 19% in hour and a half, is there someting wrong with my unit? Im going to backup everything to icloud and try factory reset before replacing it. P.s. I have location and background usage turned off, with most of the preloaded apps deleted.

      @kobra_money Před rokem +1

      Update, its been backing up, resetting and now downloading backup, lost 7% in the past 25 min doing all the heavy tasks and the heat was worse when only deezer was playing with screen off, I think deezer might be the issue here, streaming music shouldnt be so cpu heavy as backing up and downloading and installing 15 apps at the same time

      @@fuzer4047 Samsung is a beast, I came from a71 and it still has better battery life than 14 pro 😂 but it also has a bigger battery while being overall slower and lower brightness so I guess it's a trade off, maybe should have went for pro max but it was just too big, apple needs a size right in between, pro max cant hold it, pro is sometimes too narrow to type with two hands..

    I was walking in that Disney resort in flordia with the water park ( I forgot what it’s called) and then out of no where my phone died. I couldn’t charge it or turn it back on and I assumed it was water damage. Afterwards I brought It to the Apple Store where I was told the battery’s life went down and I needed to spend 60-70$ on a replacement. I NEVER knew why that happened bc they didn’t say, but now I think it’s overheating 😳😂

    The heat also increasse the eletrical resistence of the components inside your phone, that means it will drain a lot more to do the same task that's why if you are contatiling travelling (like me) you can drain the full battery of praticaly any phone i had the iphone 13 pro max recentely and i know is one of the best battery life but in less than two hours in stand by just with lte turned on it drained 13 % of it's battery with is the same as whatching a video on youtube with wifi, i decided to go back to my galaxy m51 because while the iphone drained 12 % the m51 drain 5 to 6% i have killed the 13 pro max 3 times, before 5 pm and until now i never was abble to but the m51 charge at 10 pm with lessa than 20% left.

    its more a problem with iphones because old iphones had small batries so when the 1st year is over and its not the latest iphone and no longer gets priority optimazation it has much worse battery life
    my 2016 S7 edge with light use lasted me thourght the day even until 2020
    but my 2017 iphone x barely got through half a day even when i was just texting
    and my friend who has an iphone 7 plus has his battery on 10% by 2pm and he basically just uses it for calling
