Be very gentle with this watch. After a month of buying I was in keparsia and noticed my lume pip fell off. Under the loupe I saw a small dent in the ceramic bezel, didn't even see any dings or scratch close to it so I don't even know where I banged it.

I thought I wanted/needed a 114060 no date sub in my collection to appreciate and adore like you do your green sub, but after watching this video I am reminded I already have that. I purchased my first luxury watch in 2018. It is the non wave seamaster 300m co axial black dial. It has been on my wrist for the most important moments of my life including proposing to my fiancé, and then again at our wedding in the summer, On various holidays and the honeymoon! It is my perfect companion for me and this video helped me remember that. Last year I purchased a DJ41 azzuro blue which is stunning but I would sell that in a heart heart over my trusty SMPC
I had a similar experience with my 10 year old daughter and the two toned bluesy submariner. I was considering the full gold bluesy, but my daughter loved the two tone. She went with me to the AD to request it and several months later to pick it up. I wear it on vacations so she also has memories with the watch. I plan to give it to her one day. This was my wedding watch and for 1 year my daily… sold it for no reason as my collection was growing… and happy got a 2nd time from my AD and I will definitely keep it. Sometimes you realize the value of a watch, after it isn‘t any longer there.

All depends on what you’re looking for out of this watch. I’ll assume you don’t care that one is a GMT movement with a date vs a three hand with a date, because if you preferred one movement over the other, I’d say go with that. But orherwise, the GMT is easier to wear daily, it’s actually a slimmer watch, smaller clasp. The sub is no nonsense, glidelock is great if your wrist swells and shrinks a lot (hotter climates). So really think about what you want this watch for. I can’t decide for you. I have both 😅. Thank you btw

Great vid as always, Chris. The real world footage is what sets your vids ahead of most other youtubers. As far as the watch...as someone who owns an mk1 starbucks, I really wish they kept the 20mm bracelet while slimming down the lugs. 21 makes the whole watch look too big, especially on someone with under 7 inch wrists. That's my only complaint and why I wear my pepsi and batman more. Lastly, just something to note...I moved the half link to the 6:00 side since I hate looking at the side of the clasp when my hand is on the steering wheel. I think it makes the watch look better from the wearer's perspective. Peace!

I agree the new sub is a little big on most people, but if you had to pick a model besides the seadweller that should be a little oversized, wouldn’t it be the badass diving watch? In a way, it’s more of a tool watch because of the heft and size now. im waiting on this exact watch. i will get the call within three monts from today. have been waiting for an aditional 2 months. i had the 40 mm no date sub as my very first real wacht but i sold it and regret that. currently wearing a 41mm rose gold DJ with jubilee. thinking of selling that one and getting a 36DJ in steel.
Got the call today from my AD I was confused since I requested the watch 3 weeks ago and their were over more than 50 or 60 people who were ahead of me my AD explained to me that when they interviewed me on my background as a former Spec. Ops, now Law enforcement officer my AD said Corporate read my story and background that my AD submitted and they decided to send me the green dial Submariner my AD said it was not allocated Corporate wanted to send the watch not sure what he meant by Corporate or was it Rolex USA Corporate but I was stunned I almost fell off my seat my AD said what they read must have moved them since I am no special person just a regular guy who served God and Country and my community, still can't believe it , I won't disclose the Watch dealer chain of Stores since I feel bad for other people still waiting for their Submariner like my friend who had to wait 18 months for his Black Submariner which he got last week

Solid piece. Nice with the green bezel. My similar one - among modern ones - is the Omega swords hands - titanium or steel, blue or black. Very same idea as the modern Sub. Neither the Sub or SMP is a collection piece (except if 50 years old) but definitely top-level go-to pieces.
just got mine this saturday , happy with it ! didnt know mk1 and mk2 was that much of a diff , liked the mk1 more but got the mk2 then found out the mk2 was a new 2023 70th anneversary version so im glad i made the "mistake" afterall :D
Very nice watch. I’m currently waiting on this watch from the AD. I registered in March 2021 while picking up the Batgirl. I was in the AD last week to find they are still getting people this watch from the year 2020. So it’s been for me 2 years 8 months. I don’t believe it will be this year. It’s a frustrating game to have to play with the ADs. I have bought 3 models from them in the last 5 years. The AD must be getting seriously low numbers of this model.
the starbucks watch that I have recently is reallyyy nice for daily watch. A year ago, I used to wear submariner no date but I sold the watch and then I bought the sub green mk2. The matter of fact my dream watch is that. almost 3days passed it really means to me. treasure...😂😂so far. as time goes on I gonna wear the watch that I used to do. Swimming and taking a shower or stuff like that. whatever, the watch makes me happy than I expexted. sooner of later my watch got scratched. not now..😂

Got the call today from my AD I was confused since I requested the watch 3 weeks ago and their were over more than 50 or 60 people who were ahead of me my AD explained to me that when they interviewed me on my background as a former Spec. Ops, now Law enforcement officer my AD said Corporate read my story and background that my AD submitted and they decided to send me the green dial Submariner my AD said it was not allocated Corporate wanted to send the watch not sure what he meant by Corporate or was it Rolex USA Corporate but I was stunned I almost fell off my seat my AD said what they read must have moved them since I am no special person just a regular guy who served God and Country and my community, still can't believe it , I won't disclose the Watch dealer chain of Stores since I feel bad for other people still waiting for their Submariner like my friend who had to wait 18 months for his Black Submariner which he got last week

Solid piece. Nice with the green bezel. My similar one - among modern ones - is the Omega swords hands - titanium or steel, blue or black. Very same idea as the modern Sub. Neither the Sub or SMP is a collection piece (except if 50 years old) but definitely top-level go-to pieces.
Could be a collection piece 🤷🏼♂️ who knows. Important thing is you like the watch and you wear it. Thats why I bought it
just got mine this saturday , happy with it ! didnt know mk1 and mk2 was that much of a diff , liked the mk1 more but got the mk2 then found out the mk2 was a new 2023 70th anneversary version so im glad i made the "mistake" afterall :D

Very nice watch. I’m currently waiting on this watch from the AD. I registered in March 2021 while picking up the Batgirl. I was in the AD last week to find they are still getting people this watch from the year 2020. So it’s been for me 2 years 8 months. I don’t believe it will be this year. It’s a frustrating game to have to play with the ADs. I have bought 3 models from them in the last 5 years. The AD must be getting seriously low numbers of this model.
Yes and no, they have to be selective about who the sell the desirable models too. Just remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

the starbucks watch that I have recently is reallyyy nice for daily watch. A year ago, I used to wear submariner no date but I sold the watch and then I bought the sub green mk2. The matter of fact my dream watch is that. almost 3days passed it really means to me. treasure...😂😂so far. as time goes on I gonna wear the watch that I used to do. Swimming and taking a shower or stuff like that. whatever, the watch makes me happy than I expexted. sooner of later my watch got scratched. not now..😂

I love Rolex pieces but the Starbucks is a lazy reiteration of the Hulk (MK1 insert) and Kermit (MK2 insert).
Even though the “hulk” came long after the original LV anniversary sub? Which btw now closely resembles the new MK2 version…

I passed on a no date waiting for one of these bad boys…may be a while but the green is just too amazing I need it and resale a lot higher than the no date doesn’t hurt just in case you need cash.
