$1 Spicy Beef Shawarma - Manila Streetfood 🇵🇭 #manila #Philippines #streetfood This is how a Philippines shawarma s made. Tasted different from other shawarmas for sure
The vendor told his companion "damihan mo", which means "put a lot!" (of beef or cheese, i assume) They really wanted you to feel welcome here ❤ Edit: yall HILARIOUS getting pressed in the comments. I was just tryna leave something nice to say and yall barged in like, Um Ackshually 🤓
Nah. That's more of a vlogger pass. It's common knowledge that they put more serving on vloggers to promote their products and a foreigner at that. If the camera wasn't present, he may just get a regular serving.

In case you are wondering why it's very sweet. Most shawarma that you can find here in PH are not authentic. Specially the ones that are just on a small food stall. They have been adjusted to suite the filipino palette.
i love shawarma but thats cuz i grew up in the middle east and moved to the Philippines, and the shawarma here is so disappointing 😭 mayo and cheese should never touch a shawarma, but again i wouldnt blame the people here, its the closest thing to a shawarma they can get but still, once u try real shawarma u wont go back to the one in the Philippines, much love
We have the same Shawarma store branch (I'm assuming it's the same cuz of the name) near my school. They offer Shawarma Rice and it's too good. If you're in a budget you have to try it. Can eat it everyday lol.
Wow you have nice location to find food everybody can afford ...can we ask the location sir thank u maybe when we in manila we can visit in that location..thank u for showing and taste the Filipino food thank u sir god bless 🙏 🙏
Most streetfoods and carenderia's in manila are cheap unless you are in an actual expensive area. Try looking for food in an area surrounded by schools and a regular neighboorhood.
So lucky of you to find a shawarma worth only 55 pesos. Good thing there are nearby stalls within my area that sells almost the same price, if not cheaper
Those kids definitely were hungry. Every time I go to a country like this I often purchase someone or someone homeless something to compensate for the fact it’s so cheap. Spread love people 👌🏽
Filipinos usually speak amazing English I know many that speak Arabic as well because there are schools that teach it. The country prides itself on being very educated so it is a multilingual/trilingual country. Filipinos pride themselves on being helpful and friendly. Filipinos are also very hard workers taking up jobs in many different countries to support their families back home. They will be very diligent in their studies and do what it takes to balance work, school, new culture, and learning a new language.
Dude you can't find a shawarma worth 55 pesos these days. You are lucky for finding that

I second this. I am an OFW here in Malaysia, Shawarma is very different. Meat is not shredded or minced, just sliced. Both tastes great, regardless.

Chill fam, it's 50 pesos (1USD). Never compare things that weren't on the same level.
depends where you buy, there are expensive restaurants that uses more expensive ingredients.
go try the shawarma in mabini street, theres ton of middle eastern people there and theres some good shawarma places down there
Ang OA mo. Syempre kanya kanya diskarte woi. Wag mong ikumapara sa ibang bansa ang shawarma dito dahil mura lang to. Hindi to mamahalin.
it's not forced to you just don't brag authentic to the altered one and adjusted to local taste buds.
