Regarding your doctor’s appointment, I would trust the surgeon for not rushing you into surgery without further testing. If you have a torn muscle he will figure it out. Prayers for the right decision by the surgeon 🙏🏻❤️
It took them what 9 months at least if not longer to gmfigure out whats going on..maybe id find a bew doctor

Brandon that board is called OSB.😊❤ The black plastic is to seal out the rain water along the bottom of the board til the siding goes up😊❤ The 2 x12’s at windows and doorways are put up to strengthen those areas😊❤
Brandon I said something to you before the black plastic is a rot/moisture of wood preventative, even insects like termites! I'm sure there are more reasons.

the chipboard is an underlayment 1. chipboard, 2 tar paper, 3 fiberglass, 4 black osb board, 5 either sheet rock or paneling. ..army engineer dad i helped build 3 houses with from digging septic and foundations by hand, to wireing and roofing and plumbing.

I have been watching your channel since the episodes of driving out to take care of your goats. I'm 80 years old and we just celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary. We grew up in Iowa (now in Tennessee) but were never involved in farming. Your family is so sweet and I love you bringing your children up in a Christian home. No material gifts are greater than giving them a Christian upbringing. Congratulations on your dream home coming to fruition.

It is just amazing to see your home being built! It has been a long wait but it will be worth it in the long run. Your children will never forget living in an R.V. and the tiny cabin! They will tell their children all about it!

Same here, I'll be 75 on the 20th. I helped my dad and my husband build home. I started at the age of 17
They are putting up osb, the plastic is to help with moisture to avoid the wood rotting, the 2x12's are for header/load bearing stuff. I hope you have good results Brandon. My Mom who u know came up in Dec when I got hospitalized and diagnosed with heart failure, so I really pray to God you have great results Brandon. Love to see all the progress at your place.

I love watching how they work together like a team its smooth and streamlines the work for all of them making it go up faster and with little to no errors.
I’m guessing a vapor barrier and/or to help with moisture @ the ground level.
Y’all need a one of those cannapies with a misting system so they can take breaks with cooling off, and you can whatch and stay cool yourself!

My brother worked construction for many many years. He said having music playing helped their day go by faster. So for them to turn off their music for you guys is a HUGE deal. ❤ Some super nice guys!!!!Yes soda will explode if it gets too hot or too cold. Crazy! The house is looking great.
The headers over each door and windows are required to take the load of the roof, etc. and transfer it to the foundation. It protects the doors and windows from crushing under the pressure of the weight of the roof.

My dad was a union carpenter and a foreman, retired in 1980, he took a lot of pictures of his job sites. I have most of his old tools. He didn't have nailers like those guys, he had a belt bag with his hammer. He mainly built dams, hospitals, jails and Safeway stores, he even ordered the concrete and had them poured. I even kept his hard hat with his name on it, he passed in 2003 at 78. Your house looks good, blessings to all, including those carpenters.

Brandon, I'm glad you're finally getting answers to your pain. You have a great surgeon if he wants to do more tests to make sure you don't have something else going on causing your pain. Take it easy, maybe try not to do any heavy lifting for awhile and see if your pain will let up. I know from experience that pain is the body's way of saying that you are doing too much. It's amazing how you can watch a crew of 5-6 guys work together to build a house. Everyone having their own jobs makes it go so fast. Thank You for sharing. Much love from our family to your family 💞

Gone are days of nailing by hand.. I remember helping put up boards on a fence. When started I could nail two boards. By the time we finished, I could nail two 8’ sections. The property was 52’ x 246’.

Wants they get it dried in, it will go together fast. I have watched two homes being built twice in my life. Those guts are excellent workers.

The aerial view really gave a better idea of how the house is laid out. They are really moving along.
Ask Dutch what the black plastic is for they put it around his house it's for moisture proofing it's called vapor barrier. My dad has built several houses our home that I grew up in and he built houses for two of his sisters. These guys are very experienced carpenters they know what they are doing. My sister in law's family has a habitat for humanity home she had to help build 3 other homes with working 500 hours on them she and her children had to help build their house and garage. She is raising 4 grandchildren by order of court her house has a full basement and 5 bedrooms.

Wow. Your house is going up fast. They are putting up the trusses by hand. You don’t see that much anymore. Brave men to be bending over to grab those trusses. God is good.
This overview of what they are all doing will help you build your projects in the future , it's great to see all the effort, total team work by all , outstanding !
Concrete and lumber would absorb moisture so the black barrier will deter moisture, termites and other future problems that may happen without the barrier. Shows the builders are doing a good job.

That black stuff is called sill plate moisture barrier.. the exterior sheathing on the garage looks to be OSB plywood boards. Every day. Looks more and more like a house. WHOO HOO! So happy for you guys😃❤👍

I THINK that the black plastic is a barrier against insects such as termites, as well as a moisture barrier.
God bless y'all the black plastic is for moisture pertection and the sheets of wood is called OSB plywood it is made from wood chips and glue maybe down the road you might get a metal roof put on are y'all getting sprayed installation put in God bless y'all keep doing what y'all do just saying 😎..

Never leave soda in a hot car either! It explodes all in the vehicle! (Speaking from experience!)
The plastic to to help keep it dry and keep from rotting. And it might be the one to help with termites if it has the chemicals in it. But yours been a farm I don’t know because of your animals. But mostly to keep it dry.It’s called vapor barrier. The wood stuff on the out side is partial board.then that will be regular plywood going on your roof . After that they’ll start lay tar and tar paper before putting your roofing on. They might even lay that plastic barrier on top of roof also. It’s just up to the roofers what they do.

We left a 12 pack of soda in our minivan when the temp went down to 5° F. Glad that most of the soda stayed in the carton, plus we always have old rubber car mats in the back because they are easy to hose off. The cans looked just like yours with the ends forced off. 😊
Once they get it dried in they can get the electrical and plumbing done windows, insulation, sheet rock. Comming along nicely. Going to be a very nice new home God Bless this family. We love ya'll❤😮😊
