Hi Daniel, I just bought your book Natto - can’t wait to read it. I have a weird question. I thought I was on track - and was able to go a few days without any sleep aids, then last night had a horrible night. Zero sleep. I had to go to the bathroom every 30-60 min. Is this hyperarousal? How do I stop this?

Hello Daniel. I’ve been really binge watching your videos for the purpose of education and they really helped. However I feel like the more I watch, the more my brain is subconsciously and even consciously becoming obsessed with what is going on. Education is good but like hearing about the topic constantly will inevitably make you more and more entangled with the issue, don’t you think? Thanks!

    Hi Daniel,
My sleep has improved since reading your books and watching some recovery stories. Theres one thing that I need some guidance on:
Some nights I have troubles falling asleep and some kind of anxiety kicks in. Should I stay in bed and just accept those emotions or should I get out of bed and do something else? I feel that if I get out of bed perhaps im running away from the emotions => telling my brain that the anxiety is a threat

Fantastic teaching and it makes sense and I feel like effortlessness is the most important thing here. I could compare it for example to situation when you are happy but for some reason you would like to force yourself to cry, which doesn't make sense. Analogically the harder to try to sleep the harder it is to sleep because you are monitoring it, thinking about it and just giving the attention to it so the brain registers, that it is important to you and keeps on checking if you sleep or not. Thank you for everything, I don't know where would I be if not this channel ❤️

Hello there, it is easier said than done but I'm assuming these worries are manifesting in form of thoughts, images and you can also feel other symptoms in your body. First of all it is completely normal and nothing to worry about. How to cope with it? You just don't react to it and focus your attention on something else without the intent of getting rid of this thought. Let it be, it will pass like all other thoughts, it will come again, you do exact same thing until your brain will not treat it as something important. If you will react to it with fear, dig deep into it, wonder what will happen etc then your brain will treat it as threat and will give you all sort of symptoms that you experiencing. You need to be patient though as it might take some time. Hope it helps a little :)

Hi daniel, jsut wanted to share my current problem
I sleep perfectly at night (used to have insomnia before because of fearing wakefulness).
But my problem is that I am 90% recovered from anxiety.
there were times when I woke up on heart palptiations when trying
    to sleep at middawy.
now when I don't get enough sleep at night (due to being busy not from insomnia) and get
up in the morning and go out I start warroying about
getting those palptiations to get those 2-hours of sleep at daytime, so
I get them and wake up on severe palpitations.
I don't what is the cause of this, is this anticipatory anxiety, my subconscious mind is convinced that
this situation is danger ? or this beacuse I worry about them ?.
Also when It comes to the solution, should I just stop worrying about them and be okay with those thoughts and feelings ? you mean like the way we
deal with wakefulness ? and what should I do after I wake up on those palpitations, should I try to feel those while in bed ? cause when
I experience palpitation in bed, it gets worse.. or should I just leave in the background and try to relax or sleep with it?
[I sleep perfectly at night and also at daytime if I didn't go out and had a long tiring day].

    • @TheCrocwise
      @TheCrocwise Před měsícem +1

Hi there, I think that these palpitations as you call them are symptoms of a nervous system that still needs time to regenerate as during the anxiety it becomes hyperactive. Some symptoms may then linger a bit more but nothing to worry about. Worrying about it will generally not help right? :) I know it is hard to focus on something else when your heart is pounding but you may try to treat it as something normal, just like a symptom that will vanish after a while and let it be. Obviously Daniel has a lot more experience and I'm curious what his advice on this would be, however I hope this might help a bit. Anyway you should be proud of yourself if you overcame so much of your struggles and you are in this place :)

@TheCrocwise so well said, thanks so much for posting this here. I really don’t have anything to add, it is when we become afraid of experiences like palpitations, that they can become quite sticky. What you said here I think is a wonderful way
