You don't know much about ronaldinho because he was from the era before Messi's current era... Which was pretty much before social media became a thing. He pretty much taught Messi almost everything he knows ..took him under his wing and mentored Messi. Messi has been quoted saying that. Ronaldinho has won everything there is is to win in club and international football. A true legend of the sport.

Ronaldinho was a joy to watch, you just couldn’t hate him no matter the team you support. The last frame in the picture shows the fans of Barcelona’s greatest rivals Real Madrid applauding him (STANDING OVATION) at the end of the match because of his exploits that particular day when he single-handedly destroyed their team but in terrific fashion that could not be disliked. I bless that day because I experienced greatness while I was watching the game.
His reign might have been short-lived but his legacy remains eternal because there have been none like him till this day.

No one had more pure talent and skill as him or made the game more enjoyable to watch, not Messi, Ronaldo, Cantona, Cruyff, Best, Carlos Ronaldo, and not even the great Maradona or Pele. The only thing he really lacks are stats, but much of that is his retirement way to early with him losing his passion and love. He should probably be the GOAT but for that mental lapse.!

Ronaldinho was a joy to watch. The closest to the ball, imaginative, he could do anything and a smart-a** 😂. Most of all, he seemed to be having so much fun, it was contagious. Sadly, he didn't take good care of himself/his life, so he ended up having too short a career...but not taking life too seriously, I think, is what made his playing style so easy and delightful, too...so you couldn't get one without the other. Ronaldinho was true to himself. Football is very old and there are a lot of greats, but I would say he is in the top 15 or 20 and, regardless, he is the one that makes me smile every time.

The water bottle trick: the offside rule in footbal says you cannot receive the ball from a teammate if you're more advanced in the field than the second last defender (including the goalkeeper), unless you're behind the ball's position, during cornerkicks or throw-ins as in this case. As the game was paralised for some reason idk, he went to opponent's goalkeeper to ask for some water, past the second last defender, and stayed there unnoticed untill the referee allowed the game to restart, and since it was a throw-in there was no foul at all.
