Yes it does come with a large price tag doesn't it. Then again a Megger Baker motor analyser starts at around £16k, so in comparison this is quite a good compromise. But you would need some critical motors to justify it against a standard insulation tester, or you work in a motor rewind shop.

Interesting, never saw or heard a dedicated inter-turn test(er) before. When I first read it I read intra-turn and I was really surprised. Then noticed inter and then made sense with the three leads.

It is an unusual one for sure. I think they are using a form of surge test and then applying a time duration to it, instead of a curve comparison. Thanks for watching.
